As for Bound for Glory TNA are the morons who didn't jump on the WWE Network / New Japan World bandwagon.

Subscription based pay-per-view is where it's at. I would have paid for it and started watching TNA again for cheap PPV.

Almost had a deal with AMC and then the network stopped producing new content to focus on their original programming.

Then he had a falling out with the promoter according to him on podcasts.
Interesting. Doesn't sound like he has a lot of success with the wrestling industry. I mean if he wants to try one more time more power to him. Maybe he can work something out with his old company after he buys TNA. If he does.

Said along time ago, TNA should've looked to get on a Netflix/crackle/Crave platform and work in seasons.

Lucha Underground stole my idea and look at their success.

Here's an update. I started my own thread until I found this thread so here.

As previously reported by Dave Meltzer on this morning’s Wrestling Observer Radio, time is running short in terms of TNA’s ability to sustain itself any further. Reports indicate that the company needs to make a sale by Friday to fund this Sunday’s Bound for Glory pay-per-view and subsequent television tapings. Dave also noted that WWE is currently back at the table to discuss a possible deal, presumably for their fourteen year old tape library.

In an update from earlier, PWInsider’s Mike Johnson is reporting that Dixie Carter has been in negotiations with WWE over the past five days. It’s been said that the ownership rights have become very complicated, however Dixie still has the right to sell the company to whomever she sees fit.

Billy Corgan could still make a deal in time, however Johnson says “the fuse on the TNA bomb is close to the end.” He says the end is well within sight, and at this point, there’s no avoiding it.

Stay tuned for the latest information as it becomes available.

Like Brandon said earlier, if TNA are this bad off they need to call it quits. I appreciate the effort but there's no saving it at this point. People aren't gonna magically start watching. The best thing is for wwe to buy it and at least get some good stars out of it.

The library is understandable but is there anyone on their roster these days who is even worth a damn? Granted I haven't looked at their roster but i'd be surprised if there was anyone outside of The Hardys.

Just off the top of my head I would sign EC3 in a heartbeat. He is probably their only true Superstar at the moment. He was only on NXT for a spell and didn't get over in his Derek Bateman gimmick. If WWE brought him to WWE with his current Ethan Carter III persona, he could have a good run of it.

Their best talent probably doesn't want to go back to WWE.

Galloway
Rex(Sandow)
Lashley
Cody
EC3

If WWE makes this move, they're doing it strictly for the library and Jeff Hardy cause I'm sure most of TNA's top guys would rather sit or their contracts than join Vince and Co.

I don't know how their contracts are setup, but I don't think they have contracts specifically with the parent company like AOL Time Warner during the WCW sale. More than likely WWE should be able to pick up any talent contracts.

Sad state of affairs if those are TNA's stars :adr:

I don't watch TNA much anymore, but they do have a few decent up and coming under card guys and EC3 is pretty great.

I would have said that 5 years ago, but WWE has been great with bringing in established acts and letting them get over.

But isn't the whole backstory to his gimmick and name about being related to the owner of the company and getting favours because of it? That shit wouldn't fly back in the WWE, he's esentially a budget McMahon.

I think he's moved away from his association with Dixie. Even that detail can be tweaked by WWE. Vince can have the legit illegitimate son he wanted before Kennedy got busted.
