PWInsider said:
TNA Announcer Todd Kenely has been dropped from the promotion's announce team. TNA sources indicate Kenely was informed by the promotion at the Slammiversary PPV, which as of now, was his final appearance.

Kenely was brought into the promotion by Executive Producer Eric Bischoff, who had used him on several previous projects. He debuted for the company in October 2012.

The plan going forward is to revert back to the old Impact Wrestling two man announcing team of Mike Tenay and Taz.

TNA sources indicated the door was left open for Kenely to be used down the line if a role was found for him. He was not dropped because of unhappiness with his work, but rather a decision to streamline the announcing team and he was not under contract and had the least seniority.

I've not liked the 3 man announcing team since he was brought in, so I can't wait for it to go back to Tenay & Taz.

He hasn't been all that great. His best moments have been when Tazz and Mike Tenay would rib him for simple mistakes. Also he talked way too much at Slammiversary when Angle was doing his suplexes. That time should be for Tazz.

He wasn't terrible. But wasn't amazing either. Give him a manager type role, I'm sure he could play with the mic well enough.

Didn't mind him at all really. I was hoping that when I opened this thread it would be Mike Tenay because that guy is Jerry Lawler levels of bad, but I guess now I have to suffer with even more Tenay :fp:

I really hope this happened just because he was talking during Angle's suplexes at Slammiversary.

So is there now a single thing that Hogan and Bischoff did that's still in effect?

The three weeks when the guy started and I watched I thought he was good. Slammiversary he wasn't bad. Kind of nice they tried out a regular guy and not another wrestler.

Oh well.

I quite liked him, thought they were grooming him to take Tenays spot, but I forget that involves logic on TNA's part.

He didn't bother me. He had his good moments and his bad moments. Like a lot of people, I was hoping TNA would eventually began phasing Tenay out and it would be a two man rotation with him and Tazz. I'm sure he'll end up as a backstage announcer like Jeremy Borash

I didn't think he was too bad, a bit hit and miss but you expect that from someone new to the company. Good to read that they are open to working with him in the future because Mike Tenay shouldn't have too long left in him. I am surprised that TNA don't use Jeremy Borash as an announcer, maybe he has too many other things on his plate to do that as well.

Jeremy Borash is the absolute worst, he's lucky he's even on TV at all to be honest.
