TNA Sacrifice
August 14th, 2005
Orlando, Florida

Tenay announces that Jeff Hardy's suspension is over, and if he doesn't make an appearance on the show tonight he will be FIRED!

Simon Diamond, David Young & Elix Skipper come down to the ring and Simon gets on the mic, he calls Skipper a lost soul and a Diamond in the rough, but with his guidance, he will turn Primetime into 24 karat gold. UGH!

Simon Diamond, David Young & Elix Skipper vs Sonjay Dutt, Shark Boy & Chris Sabin
Standard TNA opener, DY and Skipper do most of the work, Sonjay has a decent showing, Sabin is Sabin and continues to shine as the 2nd best babyface on the roster, and the 4th best worker in the company. But more importantly is neck and neck for WOTY with AJ. Shark boy and Diamond contribute nothing as usual. the match breaks down and Skipper fucks up his rope walk, that Deezy has been waiting for, that leads to Sabin hitting a sloppy looking Jackknife pin for the win. **

On the Pre-Show; it was announced TNA now has a deal with SPIKE TV. It was also announced that if Jeff pins Raven he gets a title shot. But is Raven pins Jeff, Jeff doesn't get a title match for 365 days. 1 FULL YEAR!

Backstage: Shane Douglas interviews the Naturals, Jimmy Hart says he doesn't have a plan for this tag pairing tonight. Douglas says they don't care about AMW and Chase says it;s all about ending Team Canada. Jeff Jarrett barges in and tries to get them to join his alliance. Chase says Jeff hasn't spoken to them in 9 months and now he wants their help. Jeff says he doesn't get it but Jimmy does. Jimmy calls him paranoid. and they leave so Jeff says maybe AMW will listen to him :mark:

Alex Shelley vs. Shocker
This is okay but is also a wild mess, the opening part is some really good counter/submission holds with Shelley targeting the leg while Shocker goes for the arm. But all of they gets thrown out of the window and both men move into the more X-Division style with dives and shit. Alex then cradle rolls up Shocker and puts his feet on the ropes for the win. Wasn't a fan of this at all. *1/2

Backstage: Shane Douglas interviews Abyss and FATHER JAMES. Shane questions if Abyss woke up a sleeping giant, but Father denies him and calls him and his fans white trash.

Abyss (w/Father James Mitchell) vs. Lance Hoyt
Really good match, like shockingly good. They don't treat it like a big man vs. big man match, it Abyss as the giant working his methodical style and Lance does a phenomenal job playing the underdog. It's his best performance to date and would be so much better if he learned how to sell because his bumping was great. I also really liked how he went to the higher flying approach to take Abyss off his game. Lance kicks out of the Black Hole Slam which is shocking as I think only AJ and maybe Raven last month are the only guys to ever do it. Abyss then tries to bring in a chair but Lance kicks it back into his face for two. BUT HE'S NOT FUCKING DONE. LANCE HITS A MOTHERFUCKING VAN TERMINATOR/COAST TO COAST FOR TWO!!!!!! Lance then runs the ropes and runs right into another black hole slam for an Abyss win. Good shit. **3/4

NqkDbel.gif

3LK vs. Kip James & Monty Brown [Special Ref: BG James]
This is fine, BG allows a lot of leeway but as soon as both teams try to use a chair he intervenes. Kip shoves BG so BG hits him with the jive punches and Konnan nails him with a chair for the win. 3LK celebrate post-match, and all is right in the world 8D

"Internet Dream Match": Christopher Daniels vs. Austin Aries
Aries won a pole on the internet 55% over Roddy Strong, Jay Lethal and Matt Sydal, this is also a none-title match, so yeah. Really good showcase match for both, Daniels does an amazing job at letting Aries look like a threat. And credit to Tenay to as he really puts over Aries. Dom West adds retardedness for the win, about 3 minues in when Daniels is in full control. Don says he doesn't need to see anymore because he can already see Aries is a player. To this point, all Aries has done is his head scissors escape dropkick and a suicide dive. SMH! Daniels works the back but as the match goes longer Daniels begins toying with Aries and that leads to a fun Aries comeback. Late in the match, Daniels misses the BME and Aries nails a 450 but Daniels fingertips touch to the ropes for a two. Daniels reverses a swinging neckbreaker into the Angels Wings for the win. ***

Backstage: Shane Douglas is with AMW, Harris says tonight they don't want to team with the naturals but they have to to get rid of the Canadians so they can get a fair title picture. Jarrett comes over and says tonight could be huge for all of them and says TNA is going to Spike and there will be changes before then. He says along with him, they're the cornerstones here, and absolutely the best tag team in TNA history and they're all in danger of losing their jobs. Storm says they don't trust anybody, not him, and not management. Jarrett says they're talking to big tag team names too, and Harris wants some proof. Harris thinks about it and pulls Strom to the side :mark: IT'S HAPPENING!

Sean Waltman vs. Jerry Lynn
This gets 15 fucking minutes, 15 MOTHERFUCKING MINUTES? WHO THE FUCK OKAYED THIS? WHO WAS LIKE YEAH, YOU KNOW WHAT'S GONNA PUT THIS TNA PPV ABOVE EVERYTHING Lynn/Pac for 15 minutes. I know why Lynn would this is his first match after being out for 1 year and along with Pac wants to prove that they "still got it" but still 15 FUCKIN' MINUTES! But with all of that said, this is pretty good :side: No seriously. Like it had no business being this enjoyable. They work like 2 vets, slowed down the pace, everything made sense and nothing felt wasted and in a Lynn match, they are rare. Sean smartly works Lynn's arm that kept him out for a year +. Shit, even Lynn sold the arm. Sabin and other jobbers come out onto the stage to watch on. Also So Cal Val tries to get chants started smh. SICK SPOT WITH LYNN SUPLEXING PAC FROM THE APRON TO THE FLOOR, BOTH MAN LAND TO A SICK THUD. Waltman goes after the arm when Lynn gets close to a win. They have some really huge spots, Pac low blows him and hits the X-Factor but Lynn gets his foot on the ropes. FUCK YEAH! Pac channels his former partner and stable match Justin Credible and hits a that's incredible for two, PAC goes to pick him up but Lynn sneaks in a victory roll for the win. After the match; Waltman and Lynn shake hands but WALTMAN HITS HIM WITH AN ARMBREAKER FUCK YEAH! He then hits him with a chair in the injured arm as the faces that were watching come down and make the save, so you're telling me they watched the whole thing :lmao ***

r2NXjTL.gif

Backstage: Shane Douglas is with Team Canada, EY stress that they don't have the numbers advantage. So A-1 brings out a hockey stick. Roode says Coach is coming back soon, and they ain't scared that the Naturals and AMW are teaming. Petey says Team Canada are a unit and are on the same page, unlike their opponents.

Team Canada vs. America's Most Wanted & The Naturals (w/Jimmy Hart)
This is pretty predictable, the face team control early and stay out of each other's way. Team Canada target Storm's knee and it's good, Roode and EY target it, Petey does moves because that's his thing and A-1 stays on the apron where he belongs. Harris has a solid hot tag and tags Chase in but Canadians smartly distract the ref so EY can low blow Chase to give the Canadians another heat segment. EY takes this amazing bump from the top rope to the floor as Douglas has his own hot tag, the match breaks down. With everyone hitting their stuff but Roode smartly throws Chase into Storm knocking him off the apron, Chase then stumbles and Roode rolls him up while holding the tights for the win. After the match; AMW and The Naturals get into a shoving match as security break it up. *1/2

Backstage: Shane Douglas tries to interview Samoa Joe, but he refuses to say anything, Shane tries to talk tough so JOE SAYS INSTEAD OF BITCH SLAPPING HIM HE WILL SHOW HIM SOME RESPECT AND HE WALKS AWAY.

AJ/JOE HYPE!

Christopher Daniels joins Commentary

Finals for the Super X Cup: Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles
Winner gets an X-Division title match at the next PPV. HUGE FIGHT FEEL! Good feeling out process before AJ goes all redneck and does something no one has done so far or since Sabin and that is, take the fight to Joe. Hit him with power moves and try to outhit him. BUT YOU'RE IN WITH PRME FUCKING JOE WHO FUCKING KILLS HIM WITH A RUNNING KICK THROUGH THE ROPES AND A SUICIDE DIVE SENDING AJ WHO BREAKS PART OG THE ANNOUNCE TABLE. but not to be outdone AJ brings back the slide under the barricade spot into the leaping forearm like he did to Abyss at lockdown. AJ continues to throw everything at Joe, but he can't keep Joe down and it was only a matter of time before Joe uses his weight advantage to keep the pressure on AJ. We get all the usual AJ/Joe spots which include one of my favorite the Powerbomb into the stretch double crab but as AJ shows heart Joe switches into the STF. They go back and forth with crisp moves and hard hitting strikes, some really great near falls. And just vicious strike offs. AJ manages to get Joe up for the torture rack but as he swings him around for the slam the ref gets bumped. Daniels leaves commentary and hits AJ with the STO but as he goes to hit Joe, Joe sees it coming and stops him. AJ gets rid of Daniels and Joe palm strikes him, he then finishes him off with a Muscle-buster and chokes out AJ. Great fucking match. THE BEST IS YET TO COME! ***3/4

PyN4Xfm.gif

Backstage: Raven says Jeff is lost and scared without the world title.

Rhino & Jeff Jarrett vs. Sabu & Raven
Way better than I remembered it being, opening minute or so, is worked as a normal tag match but suddenly all 4 say fuck this and have a great 2-minute brawl where RAVEN USES A FUCKING PIZZA CUTTER TO OPEN UP JARRETT. So basically this is now turned into a NoDQ match but the tag rule is effect UGH! That held it back from being a truly amazing brawl, but it was still very very good, with way more great stuff than bad stuff. The match breaks down and Jeff grabs his guitar but Raven's mark breaks it up. The heel team iso Raven and Rhino begins biting at Raven'sforeheadd which opens him up, which in theory looks awesome. Everyone hits their stuff and a bunch of near falls happens but as Rhino goes to gore Sabu he moves and the ref gets killed. Sabu then throws a chair in his face and hits the facebuster, but no ref. Sabu then places Rhino on a table but as Sabu is about to dive onto him.................ABYSS RUNS OUT AND THROWS SABU THROUGH A TABLE! BUT JEFF HARDY MAKES HIS RETURN AND HITS JEFF WITH A SWANTON. He leaves, and Raven slowly covers but Rhino breaks it up. Jeff and Raven battle over a table which is set up in the corner. RAVEN GOES TO DDT JEFF THROUGH THE TABLE BUT RHINO GORES HIM THROUGH THE TABLE AND COVERS HIM FOR THE WIN. Jeff is in shock. ***

I just watched the main event and thought it was a pleasant surprise. Not a top flight PPV main event but more than passable. There were just a few spots where the timing/placement were a little off but everyone went through some shit. The fans loved the gore through the table and it was a nice ending to keep Jarrett at bay a little bit longer. The next PPV is a doozy. Not just for the epic Daniels/Joe/Styles triple threat but also the Raven's Rules match between Raven and Rhyno. They really unload on each other. Looking forward to seeing your review.

Samoa Joe vs. Jerelle Clark
Standard Joe showcase, it ruled. Muscle Buster followed by the choke ends it. After the match; Daniels runs out and nails Joe twice with the X-Division belt. AJ then runs out and attacks Daniels, Joe tries to attack AJ but AJ avoids and takes them both out with dropkicks.

Backstage: Jeff Jarrett demands a title shot. Larry says if he can get Rhino to step aside and give him the shot, then he can have the shot, and he's tired of this thing. Rhino comes over and Jeff says he knows he needs to be NWA Champion for the Spike TV debut, and he asks Rhino to delay his title shot for a month and let him have it. Rhino says no, but says Jarrett can have the first title shot once he wins the belt.

ovvXH3W.png

The idea behind this is to pair a Vet with an up and coming rookie because that's what Candio was all about

Quarterfinals for the Chris Candido Cup: Simon Diamond & Mikey Batts vs. Shocker & Chris Sabin
This is what it is, both teams do stuff i don't care about this late ass Candido tribute thing that is super late and 2 teams that most likely won't be in the finals. SABIN DESERVES BETTER! Sabin hits Batts with the cradle shock for the win. *3/4

Backstage: Shane Douglas is with Monty Brown, Monty mocks Kip and says he's now doing things his way. KILL OR BE KILLED! SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST! He doesn't care who it is, the title is coming to the Alpha Male.

Rhino vs. Sonny Siaki (w/Apollo)
Rhino showcase, GORE ENDS IT! After the match; Rhino gets on the mic and says he's gonna GORE Raven and make him bleed. He says he came here for the NWA championship and nobody will stop him. He says he doesn't want to wait for the PPV. Raven comes out and says Gore me once, shame on you. Gore me twice shame on me. Raven enters the ring and security tries to stop them............BUT RHINO SAYS FUCK IT AND GORES HIM AND SECURITY!

Quarterfinals for the Chris Candido Cup: BG James & Cassidy Riley vs. Ron Killings & Sonjay Dutt
I'm all for a Sonjay/Killings teaming, this is fine. I like that BG and Killings refused to hit it each other so we got a ton of Sonjay/BG and Killings/Riley. No one plays the heel role so it's kinda hard to get into. Late in the match, Riley got mad at BG's refusal to Killings so BG laid him out with the Pumphandle Slam. Dutt then hit the Hindu Press on Riley to win. **

NWA Tag Team Championships: Team Canada (Eric Young & A-1) vs. The Naturals (w/Jimmy Hart)
EY is so fucking good, he bumps his ass off for the Naturals here. The Naturals are getting better as faces, but it still doesn't look Natural yet. The Naturals dominate the first 5 minutes or so but Douglas runs into a A-1 knee and EY follows up with a clothesline giving the Canadians control. EY does a great job carrying the heat as A-1 contributes nothing as usual. Chases' hot tag is fine as the Naturals hit the Natural disaster but Roode pulls Chase out of the ring for the DQ. Petey then attacks Douglas in the ring and the Canadians beat down the Naturals for quite a while until AMW make the save. The Naturals get pissed and they brawl to close the show. *3/4

Quarterfinals for the Chris Candido Cup: Sean Waltman & Alex Shelley vs. Abyss & Shark Boy (w/Father James Mitchell)
DAMN! I was hoping this would be the finals match, but oh well. Waltman and Alex gell together as two cocky scumbags. They isolate Shark boy for a bit until Abyss tags in, he cleans house but suddenly hits Shark Boy with a Black Hole Slam and leaves. Alex covers for the win. FUCK YEAH!

Simon Diamond & David Young vs. Mikey Batts & Jarrell Clarke
NO! David Young does get his 3rd win of the year tho.

Backstage: Shane Douglas is with Larry Z, Larry says the tag teams are a mess so he books AMW vs. Naturals vs. Team Canada vs. Winners of the Candido Cup. In a 4-way elimination match for the titles at Unbreakable. Daniels barges in and says something needs to be done about AJ so he can focus on JOE. Larry says he's new to this so, if you can't keep them out let them in. He now makes the match Daniels vs. Joe vs. AJ :mark:

"Primetime" Elix Skipper (w/Simon Diamond) vs. Apolo (w/Sonny Siaki)
Pretty decent spotfest. Best Apolo showing to date, he hits this pretty sweet TKO for the win.

Backstage: Shane Douglas is with Kip James and Petey Williams, Kip says he is no stranger to tag wrestling and with Petey's Candian destroyer this should be easy. Monty comes over and says once Kip is done with this little cup they will do things his way. Suddenly, Jeff comes over and tries to convince them to join him. Petey says the Canadians are with him, Kip says he's in to. But Monty says Jeff blew his chance and he and anyone else who steps in his path with get the POOOOOUNCCCCCCCEEEE!

Quarterfinals for the Chris Candido Cup: Petey Williams & KIP James vs. Konnan & Lance Hoyt
Worse match of this tournament so far, it's pretty sad when Petey is the best wrestler in the match. Also, this match is mostly built around Konnan and Kip hatred, everyone else is pretty much background filler shit. Lance hits Kip with a big boot for the win.

Backstage: Shane Douglas is with AMW, Harris says they got their tag title match and it doesn't matter that there are 3 other teams because they are the most dominant tag team in history. Storm says sorry about your damn luck.

Larry Z is with Shane Douglas, they find Jeff Hardy hanging upside down and makes a match between Hardy and Roode at Unbreakable.

Bobby Roode (w/Petey Williams) vs. Raven
This is fine, Raven targets Roode's arm to start and Roode does a good job selling for the rest of the match. Petey distracts the ref which allows Roode to low blow Raven and take over. He doesn't really pick a body part he just wears Raven down with holds. Raven's has a pretty decent comeback as Petey continues to get involved after the 4th or 5th time Cassidy Riley comes out and evens the odds for Raven allowing Raven to hit the Evan Flow for the win. **

Rhino attacks Raven from behind but Raven fights him off, but Abyss runs down to make it a 2-1.............SUDDENLY, THE LIGHTS GO OUT. And Sabu is in the ring. He clears the ring of Abyss and Rhino to close the show.

Semi-Finals for the Candido Cup: Alex Shelley & Sean Waltman vs. Lance Hoyt & Konnan
This is fine for 5 minutes, Alex and Pac do what they can but Konnan is so bad, Hoyt at least tries he isn't very good but he gives effort. Late in the match, Kip comes out to distract Hoyt and the ref which allows Pac to low blow Hoyt and follow up with an X-Factor for the win. FUCK YEAH! TEAM SCUMBAG IN THE FINALS

Backstage: Jeff Jarrett tries to convince 3LK to join him but they refuse. Well, Konnan refuses for them BG and Truth seem interested :hm:

Christopher Daniels vs. Shark Boy
Daniels controls the majority of the match, but AJ runs out in a FUCKING POLO SHIRT WITH, WITH THE FUCKING COLLAR POPPED comes out, he distracts Daniels long enough for Shark Boy to roll-up Daniels for the upset win. Wait, does this mean Shark Boy is now the #1 contender. Or should be now included in the 3-Way?

Abyss/Sabu is booked for Unbreakable.

Semi-Finals for the Candido Cup: Chris Sabin & Shocker vs. Ron Killings & Sonjay Dutt
Would it be racist if I referred to the team of Sonjay and Truth as "Team Black & Brown" even though i do it out of love? never mind. Match is fine, maybe the best match of this bogus tournament. Sabin/Killings and Sabin/Dutt are both good pairings, Shocker is not good for anyone or anything. Sabin and Shocker isolate Dutt, and Killings has a really fun hot tag. Late in the match, Shocker and Sabin have some miscommunications which to no Shocker was Shockers fault, but they manage to weather a Dutt comeback and Sabin rolls him up for the win. **1/2 RIP Team Black and Brown

Finals ~ Waltman/Shelley vs. Sabin/Shocker - Next Week

Monty Brown vs. Sonny Siaki (w/Apolo)
More of an angle match, about a minute in Kip runs down and attacks Apolo, Sonny goes to save his partner so Monty pounces him on the floor. He then does the Taker throat chair spot that looks AMAZING! Back in the ring, Monty and Kip beat down Apolo but Lance Hoyt makes the save.UGH!

Video Package on Raven, Rhino, Sabu and Abyss airs.

Chase Stevens (w/Andy Douglas & Jimmy Hart) vs. James Storm (w/Chris Harris)
This is great, really it is. Tons of hate as they beat the shit out of one another to start, but I also like that they know one another so well that they have each other scouted so they have to add new stuff to combat the others. Storm almost kicks Chase's head off his fucking shoulders, it looked fucking great. They go back and forth exchange big moves and close near falls until both men hit superkicks on one another, Harris then points at Douglas so the ref checks on him and Harris rolls Storm on top for the win. FUCK YEAH! NOT LONG TO GO NOW :mark: **1/2 - **3/4

Damn, this further lets me know how much of a joke this Candido Cup bullshit is. When was the last time a Tournament finals match was an opening match on TV? And I was never the biggest Candido fan but come on.

Finals for the Chris Candido Memorial Cup: Chris Sabin & Shocker vs. Alex Shelley & Sean Waltman
Sabin/Shelley is good, Sabin/Waltman is decent, Shelley carries Shocker as usual and Waltman/Shock was a disaster. Sabin and Shocker again have some miscommunications, but this time Sabin accidentally kicks Shocker. That leads to Pac hitting the X-Factor for the win. After the match; Shocker turns on Sabin which in hindsight is the most Candido thing that has happened in this tournament outside the interference. **1/2

Backstage: Monty Brown says at Unbreakable Hoyt and Apolo will feel the POOOOOUUUUNCCCCCCEEEEEE!

Backstage: Shane Douglas is with Chris Daniels, Daniels says this is the most important time in TNA. The fans need to know who will step up as they go into Spike TV. Jarrett, Monty, Rhino, Raven? NO! THAT MAN IS THE FALLEN ANGEL! Now more than ever I am Mr. TNA.

Shark Boy vs. Samoa Joe
SQUASH!

Eric Young (w/A-1) vs. Chris Harris (w/James Storm) vs. Andy Douglas (w/Chase Stevens & Jimmy Hart)
Really Smarty laid out Douglas and Harris just want to rip one another apart but EY dumble keeps getting involved so they team up and take him out before going back to beating up the other. EY takes two phenomenal bumps, but suddenly the tag partners on the floor all begin brawling and the ref ejects them only leaving Jimmy at ringside. They do some stuff before Haris hits the Catatonic for the win. **

Elix Skipper (w/Simon Diamond) vs. Sonjay Dutt
LOL @ THEM PLAYING Sonny Siaki's theme instead of Dutts, this is a shitty Skipper showcase, not nearly good like the PPV match from early in the year. Skipper hits Sudden Death for the win.

Sabin/Shocker & Monty/Kip vs. Hoyt/Apolo has been added to the PPV. Can't wait to skip those.

Backstage: Shane Douglas is with Jeff Jarrett, Jeff goes on his weekly rant about how TNA management want him gone and everyone could be fired. He says he will be at Unbreakable and he dares someone to stop him.

Abyss (w/Father James Mitchell) & Rhino vs. Sabu & Raven
This starts off well with all 4 brawl but sadly it turns into a traditional tag match and completely kills my excitement. The heels iso Raven and it's decent, Sabu's hot tag is fun as he speeds up the match and I guess now using a chair is legal. SMH! The match breaks down and Rhino accidentally Gores Abyss leading to Sabu hitting a top rope facebuster with a chair for the win. After the match; Rhino gores Sabu and now the heels beat down Raven with a chair too. **

TNA Unbreakable
September 11th, 2005
Orlando, Florida

Diamonds In The Rough vs. 3LiveKru
Pretty basic 3LK showcase, nothing really to write about. It's supposed to be one of those the band is back together feel good matches. But no one takes the Rough stable serious so it's a Fail. Konnan hits a K-Factor for the win.

On the pre-show, Monty hit poor Jarelle Clark with a pounce and challenges the winner of Raven/Rhino to a world title match at Bound For Glory. Jarrett comes out in wrestling attire, but Kip comes out to keep the peace, but Monty shoves Kip and here comes Meth I mean Jeff Hardy who attacks everyone. What is this 2004?

Austin Aries vs. Roderick Strong

FUCK YEAH! GenNext take over. Don finally does some research and tells us that they are stablemates in ROH so they know each other so well. And right on queue, that's what they do. It's the classic partners forced into a 1on1 match. So we get tons of counters and reversals and just brutal hard hits, it's probably the closest we've gotten to an Eddie/Benoit or Eddie/Rey style match. Roddy works the back and just beats the shit out of him because he knows a win tonight could be huge with TNA moving to SPIKE. And Aries knows he doesn't want to go 0-2 in TNA and to lose to his stablemate in the process. I really liked that they don't overdo do it with the spots or the complicated reversals, they allow the other to get all their shit in but also protect signature moves. But in the end, Aries hits the brainbuster and 450 for the win. AWESOME 8 minutes. ***1/4

Backstage: Shane Douglas is with Monty Brown, Kip marches over and questions him about what happened in the ring. Monty tells him to get his head straight and refuses to apologize to him and Jeff. They both tell one another to get their head right so they can take out Lance Hoyt and Apolo.

Kip James & Monty Brown vs. Apolo & Lance Hoyt
Poor Monty 2005 so far has been a disaster for him. and it doesn't help that he had to carry 3 sacks of shit for 10 minutes. FUCKIN 10 MINUTES OF MY LIFE I'LL NEVER GET BACK. Monty hits the pounce for the win

Backstage: Traci is with Team Canada, Petey says everyone needs to be on top of their games, EY is losing his shit because it's 6 on 2, plus the ref is American and Jimmy Hart is also American. Roode tells him to get a grip and tells A-1 his free ride is over, time to earn his keep. He says Hardy is next. Petey says he and Sabin have history, and shit before calling him inferior.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! They play Abyss' music instead of Team Canada's :lmao

FUCK YEAH! Triple AAA changes Shockers flight so he had to miss the show. :mark:

Petey Williams vs. Chris Sabin
You know the deal by now, tons of spots, counters/reversals, and just pure athleticism. oh and Petey does his random spots and no selling too. The fuckin' crowd tries a "We Want A-1" chant fuckin' TNA UGH! Petey doesn't know what to work so he targets both the mid-section and the back so as a result, Sabin doesn't know what to sell so he just sticks to the mid-section. This without a doubt is Petey's best match since the Victory Road match against AJ. God bless Sabin, if it wasn't for that bogus Candido Cup he would be running away with WOTY. Sabin hits this nasty running lawn dart powerbomb to which Petey absolutely no sells it, then like a minute later Sabin counters the Canadian Destroyer into a Cradle Shock for the win. After the match; Matt Bently runs out and Superkicks Sabin. He says TNA is home and he challenges both Sabin and Petey to an Ultimate X match at Bound For Glory. **1/2

NoDq Match: Abyss (w/Father James Mitchell) vs. Sabu
Father James is wearing this bitching Pale Orange suit, that shit looks fly af. This is dope, it's Sabu at his best. He works so well against giants because he gets to throw his body at the guy like a weapon and he's willing to die on bumps. It's the most crisp I've seen Sabu maybe ever. They do this AWESOME spot where Sabu hangs Abyss between the ropes and goes for one of his double jump moves but instead, Abyss kicks the chair and belly-to-belly suplex's Sabu through the tables to the floor. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL ROPE BREAKS IN A NoDQ match. Late in the match, Abyss pulls out the bag of tacks and unloads them in the ring. They battle for positioning and in a fucking amazing ending Sabu goes for another double jump move but in mid-fucking-air Abyss catches him and Black Hole Slams him onto the tacks for the win. **3/4

Backstage: Shane Douglas is with Alex Shelley, Douglas asks where Waltman is and Alex says he has no idea AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA! He says people have been telling him that Waltman is no good but he's always been there for him before, but tonight he's going to get his chance at the world tag titles with or without Waltman.

Bobby Roode vs. Jeff Hardy
Roode looks like 1999 Trips lol. He even got the wet chest look. Pause. This is a pretty good Roode coming out party, he really shines as the "GUY" for Team Canada here. Tons of cheating, shortcuts and just smart mid-card heel 101 tactics. Credit to Jeff too, he doesn't look fucked up or sloppy or even that much ring rust. He's a little slow at times and looks gassed about 6 minutes in but still it's way better than he looked early in the year. Petey comes down to distract the ref but that backfires and Jeff hits the twist of fate, but Roode rolls out. They brawl on the floor and it's essentially a 2-1 but Jeff fights them off.....But Jarrett runs down and breaks the hockey stick over Jeff's back. Roode rolls him back in and covers for the win. **

4-Way Elimination Match for the NWA Tag Team Championships: Team Canada (Eric Young & A-1) vs. Alex Shelley & ??? vs. America's Most Wanted vs. The Naturals (w/Jimmy Hart)
The Candido family are at ringside, along with Dixie whoring herself out. LOL Kliq sticks it to Candido again. AMW and the Naturals start and do their usual beat the shit out of one another stuff, Team Canada iso Shelley and it's okay, well it's okay when EY is on A-1 is still dreadful, but he must have pulled a Hoyt because he is super over with no valid reason at all. FUCKIN' JOHNNY CANDIDO HOPS THE RAILS AND HAS A FUCKIN HOT TAG :lmao He does two moves before EY rolls him up and grabs the tights for an elimination lol.

Team Canada now iso Storm it's pretty much the same as the Alex heat, just Storm is a better seller and Harris has a way better hot tag than Johnny Candido. The match breaks down as the Naturals stand on the apron the whole time. A-1 then hits Harris with the hockey stick and EY cradles him for the elimination. BOOOOOOOOOO!

Again the Canadian's have a super mediocre heat segment, so I'm gonna skip that and go right to the finish. Where A1 gets hit with the Natural Disaster and Douglas cover for the win. This was booked all wrong. **

Raven's Rules Match for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship: Rhino vs. Raven
This is no Backlash 2001. I have no idea why they stalled for 3 minutes but they do, then Raven uses the pizza cutter but it doesn't look at vicious as last month mainly because the cameraman fucks up the angle and we only see Ravens' back. They hit each other with weapons but then Raven randomly applies an ankle lock like it's his go-to whenever he's in trouble but the problem is Rhino never sells it ever. They go back to weapons and shit. Raven's spot calling is loud af it's Cena level but hilariously it's not the worse of the night :lmao that's still yet to come. Then randomly with the match in Raven's control, Cassidy Riley runs down the same time as Raven hits the even flow but the ref is too busy telling him to get down to he's slow to make the count. In a nice call back to Backlash Raven avoids the gore into the trolly the first time but gores it the 2nd. Jarrett runs down and grabs the world title but Hardy stops him from using it allowing Raven to hit him with a DDT and one to Rhino for the win. **1/2

TNA X-Division Championship: Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels
Everyone has probably seen this match by now, and IT'S STILL FUCKIN' AMAZING! The pacing is amazing, it's constant action, crisp strikes, crisp dives, spots, moves, dives, all three in the ring and involved in the action instead of the standard 2 in and one sells on the floor formula. Not saying it didn't happen but it wasn't the double team put someone through an announce table and have it one on one for 5+ minutes. It's Perfectly laid out, with everyone getting time to shine. AJ breaking up the Coquina Clutch with the spiral tap is still AMAZING! another amazing sequence is AJ and Daniels going counter for counter on the floor and forgot about Joe who hits a fucking running spinning dive over the top rope onto both men. As the match progress on the moves get bigger and the near falls get closer it's so great. It's not without its flaws tho well 1 really minor one and one they should bug me but it does. 1st it the loud as spot calling on Daniels part he has a couple with AJ which are few words but it's when Joe has him in the STF that have a full blown 3 minute convo it got so bad that the production team had to edit it so you just see Joes mouth moving to no audio. And the 2nd, was the finish like i said in a match where the moves get bigger and bigger and everyone is on to end it with AJ reversing Daniels Angel's wings into a backdrop for the win is like oh WOW. Just think about it imagine Eddie/Rey ending with a roll-up, or Joe/Kobashi it's just felt out of place. But aside from that, it's pretty close to perfect. And it still holds up as my #1 all time go to TNA match. *****

Tonight: Hardy/Rhino & Jarrett controversial NWA title win.

AJ Styles vs. Roderick Strong
Really fun 5 minutes AJ showcase, AJ completely dominates the first 2 minutes but Daniels comes out yelling AJ has his title which distracts AJ long enough for Roddy to connect with a backbreaker, but he never really follows up and AJ makes a comeback right away. He finishes him off with a Styles Clash for the win. **1/2

Monty Brown Video Package.

Backstage: Shane Douglas is with Monty Brown, Monty says he will not be stopped and his opponent will feel the POOOOUUNNCCCCCCCEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Period

Backstage: Raven who is still pissed at losing the NWA world title at some random TNA Canadian house show is beating up random TNA workers with a trash can as Larry Z yells at him to get out.

Monty Brown vs. Lex Lovett
POOOOOOOUUUUUUUNCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCEEEEEEEEEEE wins it in like 45 seconds.

X-Division Video Package airs spotlighting all the good talents and Petey Williams

Petey Williams vs. Alex Shelley vs. Chris Sabin
Decent showcase for all 3, tons of action, spots and counters, they all know each other so well at this point so all the moves and sequences look smooth as hell. They took the same formula as the Unbreakable 3-way and just crammed the shit out of this 6-minute match with everything they can think of. The match ends with Sabin hitting Shelly with the Cradle Shock for the win. After the match; Petey hits Sabin with the Canadian Destroyer. **3/4

Backstage: Larry Z and Tito Ortiz walk into Larry's office UGH!

3LK video package.

Monsters Ball II is announced ~ Hardy vs. Rhino vs. Sabu vs. Abyss

Rhino vs. Jeff Hardy
Pretty meh, seems like both men are just going through the motions. Thankfully, Abyss comes out and attacks Jeff for the DQ. All 3 brawl, which brings out Sabu, who helps Jeff clear the ring.

Video airs of AMW turning heel and helping Jarrett win the NWA world championship on a TNA Canada house show, Jeff say's there taking over and up next is AMW getting those Tag Titles back. Coach D'Amore comes in and says he loves it when a plan comes together.

Jeff Jarrett & America's Most Wanted come out, Jeff says this is the single greatest day of his life, everything he said he would do, he was done. He says all the power is with the NWA title, he thanks, AMW for doing the right thing. Jeff then brings out Coach D'Amore who says he says he lived up to his end of their deal, and he expects something in return and Jeff says he'll get it. Jeff continues to gloat but 3LK come out. Konnan says they did not build TNA the fans and 3LK did :lmaolmao They run down and brawl but the Canadians give them the numbers odds..........................................BUT THE MOTHERFUCKING DUDLEY BOYZ NOW NAMED TEAM 3D DEBUT. They hit 3D on AMW but Jeff manages to escape. He bails up the ramp...........................BUT FUCKING KEVIN NASH MAKES HIS RETURN! He Jackknifes Jarrett and says they have unfinished buiness at Bound For Glory for da belt.UGH! Brother D-Von challenges AMW to a match next week.

Tonight: AMW vs. Team 3D

Backstage: Team 3D say they've made the biggest impact in Tag Team wrestling history, and in 30 minutes AMW will find out why they are the baddest tag team on the planet.

Earlier Tonight: Raven was handcuffed and kicked out of the building by security.

Team Canada (w/Coach Scott D'Amore) vs. 3LK
This is fine I guess, the only real highlight was Coach D'Amore rubbing it in Don and Tenay's face and they have this just disgusted look on their face the whole time he's over there. Kip watches on from the stage, Team Canada iso BG and it's decent the crowd do their best to hi-jack the match so fuck them. Truth has the awesome hot tag and ends up hitting the scissors kick for the win. After the match; Team Canada beat them down but Kip runs down and makes the save. Konnan argues with him, and BG tries to break it up. **

Ultimate X Video Package.

Christopher Daniels vs. Austin Aries vs. Matt Bently (w/Traci)
Another really fine 3-way, same formula as last week and unbreakable, action from the opening bell to the end, all 3 for the majority in the ring. crisp spots, strikes and just multiple counters and sequences involving all 3. Late in the match, Petey comes out to fuck with Traci but Sabin comes out and attacks him from behind. Bently then dives on them both, Aries begins to climb the ropes but Daniels cuts him off and hits the Angels Wings for the win. **3/4

Abyss Video Package, Larry Z calls him the modern day Andre the giant :lmaolmao:lmao

Abyss (w/Father James Mitchell) vs. Sonny Siaki
SQUASH!

Samoa Joe Video Package.

Larry Z and Mike Tenay are in the ring, Mike questions how the NWA committee allows Jeff to get a title match, Larry DUCKS the question and says he has brought in a special ref for BFG.......................Tito Ortiz. They act like this is a first-time deal. FOR FUCK SAKE YOU RAN THIS SAME FUCKERY IN JULY! Ortiz says some shit, he says he has 2 rules. 1. RESPECT ME AS A REF. 2. TOUCH ME AND I WILL BREAK YOU :lmaolmao:lmao Jarrett comes out, and says he has 1 rule touch me and i will break your neck. He calls Nash a failed actor and says at Bound For Glory it won't be the longest yard, it will be the longest night of Nash's life. Nash comes out but Jarrett runs up and they brawl back down to the ring. Tito pulls them apart and chokes out Nash, Jarrett tries to get some licks so Tito pulls him off. BLAH BLAH BLAH

Backstage: Shane Douglas is with Chris Daniels, Daniels says he defeated everyone for 6 months just for AJ to steal the belt from him. He says he will get his justice in Iron man II. He then challenges AJ to get 3 of his best friends and he will beat them all in 15 minutes X-Division Exhibition. AJ comes over and accepts.

America's Most Wanted vs. Team 3D
This is basically an angle match as it's it pretty much came out of nowhere with 0 build, well not 0 like 5% build. This goes like 4 minutes Team 3D get all their shit in as AMW bump like crazy for them. Team 3D go for the 3D but Gail Kim low blows Brother Ray for the DQ. After the match; Jarrett runs out and blasts 3D with the NWA title belt busting them both open, they bleed like crazy. AMW hit both men with the Death Sentence, Jarrett then finishes Brother Ray off with a Guitar shot. All 4 stand tall and celebrate as Team 3D are left a bloody beaten mess to close the show.

So a little backstory, so in 2005 a young 14-year-old Fab just got his 2nd ever PC and this was the first wrestling show I downloaded, after i looked at porn obviously but this was 2nd on the list as i had to see my new favorite team AMW take on my 3rd favorite team of all time. and i remember i would watch this match well the post-mach antics like everyday for the next month and a half or so. It's when AMW moved up to top 6 all time. My love would continue to escalate until the end of 2006 when things went downhill real quick.
