Don't look now, but Tito Ortiz might be on the comeback trail.

A year after Ortiz vowed he would retire following his loss to Forrest Griffin at UFC 148, "The Huntington Beach Bad Boy" appears to be contemplating a return to MMA.

Ortiz tweeted this on Wednesday:

When MMAFighting.com reached out to Ortiz on Wednesday to ask if he was considering a comeback, he wrote back via text message, "everyone has a comeback."

When asked if he was healthy enough to fight again, Ortiz wrote, "we will see in five months."
The 38-year-old former UFC light heavyweight champion did not explain what was happening in five months, nor did he respond to subsequent text messages.

Ortiz has undergone numerous surgeries over the course of his career, most notably on his neck and back, which seemed to have cut his career short.

After starting his career with a 15-4 record, Ortiz retired last year with a record of 16-11-1
Well it won't be with the UFC, so Bellator? Would imagine they'd like to throw him against Rampage or Mo after one or two wins?

Tito couldn't even beat his wife nowadays, what makes you think he could win in Bellator?

If he needs money get on his knees and beg Dana for an office job after he brings him Cyborg at a reduced rate of 3 grand a fight.

I never said I think he could win because I've never watched Bellator, however I think Bellator would like to have him win a fight or two against some scrubs just to get a little hype back around him then to put him in a pretty high profile fight.

Gave King Mo a jobber and look what happened and he has upside. Tito has nothing, signing Phil Baroni gives just as much depth as signing Tito Ortiz.

Probably my least favourite fighter.

Ryan Bader lost to this guy when he was on a four year losing streak too. lol.

I guess I meant to say something related to the topic here. No thanks, Tito.

Why can't these guys let it go? He is so far out of his depth now and isn't up to the standards required anymore. Should focus on coaching or move into broadcasting, anything other than fighting again.

It'd still be a huge signing for Bellator, guy cant comepte at the top or even mid level anymore, but he's still got a ton of name value. Rampage, Tito, King Mo, suddenly Bellator can get alot more mainstream attention, even more so if a Belator LHW KO's Tito and/or Rampage which is very likely.

I'd see Bellator and Tito agreeing and Bellator would be banking huge on his name and either give him a fight against Rampage as a sorta "UFC fight that never happened" or against King Mo. They wouldn't want to squander too much time. Use the name while it still holds some sorta weight. One misstep and its wasted.

Rampage and Tito have been boys since Tito was on top and Page was in Japan. Tito was the guy who told Page about Juanito ripping him off. That fight would never happen.

I wouold think King Mo and Page would be the likeliest matchup, seeing as they can just use that online clip of Rampage talking major shit to Mo a few years ago.

Yeah most likely... but I'm sure they gonna want to give Tito a name as well. Cause they don't really have much of anybody in Bellator in that division.

t was just announced on the Bellator MMA event on Spike TV that Quinton “Rampage” Jackson would not be fighting Roy Jones Jr. in a boxing match on pay-per-view at the end of the year as rumored. Instead, it will be Rampage in his home, the cage, fighting former friend and training partner, and the newest surprise addition to the Bellator MMA roster, Tito Ortiz.
