So they finally had a women's match in a place where women are commonly viewed as property and treated with blame for men finding them attractive. This forces them to cover-up themselves so it was not a huge shock to see what the two ladies were wearing for the match. I didn't watch the match and this is more about the fact that it happened than the actual match.

What are your thoughts on it?

Really? I was expecting it to be at least 10 minutes. Yikes.

Well, PR or not, at least they let it happen. It is 2019. The fact that women are still treated like slaves in parts of the word is just wrong.

Match was a standard Raw match as far as in-ring stuff went, no surprise there. After the match Cole and Graves both got real emotional, and Nattie and Lacey celebrated with as many women as they had time to around the ring. Was really great to see them get the response they did, think there was even a "This is Awesome" chant in there, and the crowd was just really hot for everything they did. It's incredible to think of what professional wrestling is capable of in terms of changing the world for the better.

Kinda expected they would have a match this time around, didn't see it, but I'm glad they picked Lacey to be part of it.

PS: These bats are getting annoying.

This match is not changing anything in Saudi Arabia
I view it as a small pebble. It isn't quite a stepping stone but it will factor into one being built. Eventually (hopefully) enough small things like this will happen and build several stepping stones which lead to giving women more rights and freedom in places like Saudi.

Maybe, but that seems like a pipe dream if anything

It is hard to change people's ways when it is backed by backward politics and outdated religion but it is better than not letting women wrestle at all. Really, in order to change people's minds in cases like these, you have to let them feel it was their idea. No force either.

We'll see what happens.

Saudi Arabia is changing, the let women drive recently.

Watching it now crowds reasonably hot for it. Obviously they have to cover up a bit more.

If they're in Jeddah that's in the Hijaz which is a bit more liberal than the rest of Saudi Arabia.

They're in the capital. Seeing Western women in the flesh would be unusual I suppose. Crowds cheering at very basic stuff.

Muslims are a fuckin cancer of this world. Just look at what granny clothes they forced them to wear ffs, why did they even agree to come under these conditions. We don’t force their women to take off hijab when they compete in some sport outside of the Arab countries. Maybe because we are not barbarians who try to force something upon people of different religions

where women are commonly viewed as property
And as much as I judge Saudi in every aspect I gotta say that this is simply not true. It’s still not at the point when they treat them like property

Viewed and treated are two different words. One is a way of thinking, the other takes action. :husky:

True my bad but neither one is the case. They do wrongly consider women inferior but still not property of someone

I can argue that more men over there view them as property than other places in the world but yes, not all of them. That is a generalizing statement that doesn't hold up well. I am just frustrated with people treating others like crap in the name of religion. You can believe in something and not be an asshole to other people.

It was a match the WWE fans have already seen too many times...
& no one would care if not for the country it was taking place in.

Frankly I find this ENTIRE Saudi Arabia situation completely cringe...
and its one of the many reasons I don't watch the WWE product
anymore.
