As one of those guys, it's more because WWE will push Rock/Cena II, Brock/God II, and Undertaker/Opponent like a big deal, and then just throw the crumbs to the actual roster like they did last year.

The problem with the match isn't the match itself as much as the buildup... instead of making Cena look like a second-rate legend (yet still a legend), they've used Cena for all sorts of silly stuff last year. It's hard to buy into him as an underdog when he's still SuperCena. Granted from here on out the promos should be fantastic again, but nothing will change that.

It's an overused cliche, but Rock isn't back for the fans... Dwayne may be, but Rock (the character) seems like a hypocrite with his ass-kissing, and Cena's problems have been discussed ad nauseum... when watching your little video package it reminds me of that more than the build.

The IWC is hoping for a triple-threat because Punk winning the belt in the main event of Wrestlemania, defeating the biggest star of today and one of the 3 biggest stars in WWE/F history, would do something for someone. The novelty of Rocky has worn off and him holding the title hostage would be silly, and there's no way we want Cena winning the belt again. Plus it's predictable.

I was going to say something, but Rain already covered it here pretty much. Plus, the match will suck again, I'm quite sure.

Yeah I understand the hate for this story, but it just isn't the biggest thing in the world for me. The result is going to be one that most internet fans won't like, and it's another encounter of something most people didn't enjoy last year. However, I was one of the members here hating on Undertaker/HHH part 3 at Wrestlemania. I once even said I might not watch it, but I am glad I did, because it was a fantastic match. I'm hoping the same will happen for Rock/Cena OO (or at least an improvement) and Brock/God II this year. Thee storyline behind Brock/God II (Brock vs McMahons) works incredibly well with Heyman in behind by the way, so as one of HHH's biggest haters I will still be watching.

I think as fans we can expect WWE not to use these big stages to create a new star now. They have had so many chances with the recent legends (and huge draws) returning and for whatever reason they are refusing to go down that route. Perhaps it's because these "dream matches" draw more resulting in more money, but in the long run that helps nobody. I for one am sort of looking forward to the promos between The Rock and John Cena, because it makes John Cena interesting again, Last year he was on his game and in many people's opinion performed better on the mic than the great one himself. I am genuinely excited to see that side of John Cena after a year of mediocrity.

Really well done video package. I think the Rock/Cena feud gets a bit too much hate from the IWC. The match will most likely suck but I think the build will be great, it was last year, the legitimate tension between the two and the seriousness of both of them resulted in some pretty awesome segments.

Fair enough, we'd probably rather put Rock with someone else this year and the result this time around is more predictable than it's ever been, but the promos won't be. If we get respect/respect promos then I will join in on the constant hate, but I know I'll be sitting there with my eyes wide open watching their first interaction when the feud heats up.

Nothing gets me excited more for the WM main event more than.... a fucking video package! LolTVHype :neymar2:

I don't think comparing Rock/Cena to HHH/Taker is the most accurate thing, of course there's a similarity between them but HHH/Taker at Mania 27 was an awesome match, the best one on the card. But I agree with you on them not building new stars, as usual.

It was a good match but no one wanted to see it again. I wouldn't say it was an awesome match at Wrestlemania 27 to be honest, I think it's overrated.

But a good match nonetheless, when compared to Rock/Cena. Besides the fact that Rock/Cena was shoven down our throats much more than HHH/Taker ever was (not saying they shouldn't do it, they should, it's their big ME, but doesn't change the fact that it got annoying at one point), they'll do it again and you already know the match will be bad, considering Rock's ring shape at the Rumble. At least with HHH/Taker you knew you were getting a good match in the end, at least.

There were plenty (myself included) who didn't mind seeing it again. There didn't seem to be anyone left for Taker to fight that would create a big match feeling that his matches have at WM have become accustomed to having, and I personally found myself enjoying the HHH/Taker III build more than Rock/Cena. What's annoying is that most people suggested that a better opponent would have been Kane... A guy who Taker has also fought twice already. (At least Taker/HHH have almost always had good or great matches, Taker and Kane have always had great build up, but the matches have always been pretty bad.)

It seems a lot of the IWC in general are obsessed with Taker/Kane fighting again one day at Wrestlemania, and I'm clueless as to why. Someone on Bleacher Report even wrote a week or so ago that no one should break the streak, but if anyone does it should be... Kane! (*Facepalm*)

I'm not at all. I don't want to waste a Taker match with yet another Kane feud, and I especially wouldn't want Kane to end the most prestigious streak in wrestling. Bleacher report is so off and on.

Kane is really popular on here I believe and I never really got why in general.

- great character and presence
- charismatic
- kids love his mask and stuff
- one of the best big men wrestlers in wrestling history
- had one of the best debuts ever in wrestling
- never buried anyone, jobs regularly, ready to put over the young talent

Those are some kayfab and "real" reasons, IMO. Hence why I love the guy.

Cena should learn something from him about putting people over.

I don't really think it's Cena who refuses to do it man, he's booked like that. He's still the cash cow, he can't job as much as Kane.

:dawg: I know how it is. When I'm hating on someone I end up considering neutral stuff as negatives (while putting waayyyy too much emphasis on their actual negatives) too. It's the natural process of hating. I understand you.
