Sounds pretty similar to a ton of people I know, I know like 4/5 smart guys from school who've ended up cleaning hospitals for a job. There's nothing wrong with that but none of them seem to want to do it if that makes sense, you guys got any apprenticeship prepcourses? I had a buddy who went on one and got set up on an apprenticeship after around 2 months (6 week course for like job skills then the rest was just waiting.)
Yep i have a lot of friends on their 10th year of college/masters/more schooling and when they get out they will be making close to or the same as a lot of my friends who got out of college and got certificates through courses in a year or two max. My IT friends make more than my friends with masters for the most part, because they have been in the field long enough to run their own business/be high up in bigger companies.

Yeah it sucks dick but with how tight things are though I kind of get why companies don't take the risk. There should be a huge incentive towards getting companies involved in more areas, the scheme we have here is apprentices salaries are half covered by the council at 2.65 an hour it costs like 200 a month for the company when I did mine last year, no idea if there's a scheme like that in boro though if not there should be. I'll pay that shit back in taxes in a year or 2 max even on my salary most people will.

My situation is like the start of yours (it'll end up the same I'm sure) I know guys who've laid down like 7-9k a year for 4 years to study for a job which will pay low 30k at a max uni is heavily pushed here as we have 2 respected ones in the centre, if they want to go then good on them but I'd never feel comfortable taking that route college was a huge pain in the ass for me. Working has got me a salary which works out at around 24k USD a year for 37 hours at 19, It's not great currently but I'm confident the experience will make it grow later on.

its all about building your resume. I made 50k for a year and 35 the year before bartending, but i drank and drove so that route is fucked. Now ive used my old bartending fun to get one of my old patrons (worked a hotel bar for 6 months and made some friends) who is helping me get into the pacific union once my shit is finally all done (dont drink and drive kids...) I can go and it's federal beni's with 30k starting, and with my plug i can avoid being in the yard and use my computer skills to have a good job (if all goes well, we know how that goes)

But like i said, i have friends with college degrees where they cant find a decent job and are bartending/serving/banquet work because its 36-40 hours in 3 days, amazing pay, but 0 benefits. Benefits are the main name of the game here nowdays.

even like red on salads, or white ones on your roasts? I dont get down on yellow but love the taste/aroma.
My stomach doesn't agree with onions. Gets me major gas. Garlic in small doses is fine, but otherwise no.

Free healthcare is the best thing about this shit here, the place I work offer free eyecare too which is a bonus only having to pay for dental is solid. I could private with Westfield for around 15 from the companies referall for a decent plan but I don't really see the point. I see why it's a huge issue in the US though, some guy posted his medical bill on reddit and it was a few grand (I think) for the ambulance, shit came up at over 20k for around a week in the hospital and some minor surgery. Was unreal.
