I don't really have much faith it's what they'll do but sending some of the young NXT people to Japan or Mexico just for a few months would be so beneficial to them, especially Japan assuming it'd be NOAH/AJPW or Marigold for some, Mexico eh it's AAA
I think more wrestling companies need to do that. Apart from the fact that "Hey, wrestling companies working together = a good thing" sometimes international experience allows you to gain a different perspective and learn a few new tricks.
Some examples:
Okada to TNA: Even if booking wise they booked him so poorly that it ruined their NJPW relationship for YEARS, Okada has admitted he learned about the importance of character work and thus helped him create "The Rainmaker." The rest, history.
Naito to CMLL: It helped him create his El Ingonables character, thus LIJ, and him being a genuine main eventer after being rejected by fans.
Mariah May to Stardom: Mariah apparently was basically signed to AEW before she went to Stardom and her time in Stardom she rounded out as a performer and helped her character work. Now she's one of the most popular acts in AEW and a future champ.
Jack Perry to NJPW: Being in NJPW helped him create a character which clicked as a heel. His work as a heel beforehand while okay, didn't quite click fully. But him being there, using the backstage promos to get more confident as a talker, work with some different wrestlers, and adding to his story, worked great for him.
