I started listening to "The Rest is History" podcast with Tom Holland (not that one) and Dominic Sandbrook. It's a lot of fun, but it's definitely one that's meant for people already pretty deep into stuff I would say. If I hadn't already listened through Hardcore History where Dan Carlin goes really in depth with a lot of topics, I don't think I'd get half of the random references they make.
A funny example that just gave me that realization is in an episode about communism, they mention the Anabaptist rebellion of Munster and give no details, just like "oh yeah that's a good example too" but thankfully Dan Carlin already did 5 hours on it so I know all I need to know about that situation
