I figured that way I had Goldberg come in was a pretty good way to introduce the WWF to Goldberg by going after the biggest name in the company

I personally am not against Goldberg debuting like this, as it's true to his character.

Yeah I actually did like the Goldberg debut quite a bit.

Cuz the WCW heel turn worked so well... :uhoh

I'll see where it goes, but I think you're leaving money on the table from him being his natural baby self.

No but, I mean I keep Goldberg words and promos short if anything and have him just be a bad ass besides I think Goldberg works better as a heel

Goldberg works better as a heel
That's the more interesting take I've ever seen.

Fair enough, though. I have my own interesting takes.

Yeah, Goldberg was honestly one of my favorite parts of the whole thing. :WOW I didn't see that coming honestly. Kudos.

Maybe not how WCW did it but, I think I can make it work to make him a pretty legit heel.

I'll see where you take Heelberg before I judge it. If I based on it him breakin' kayfabe in WCW that wouldn't be fair.

Wednesday, Week 1, May
The Spectrum
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Attendance: 19,000 (SELL OUT!)

Opening Segment

Shane McMahon.jpg

To the roar of a rabid and raucous crowd comes Shane McMahon, the crowd chanting, "Thank you Shane" and "ECW". He welcomes the crowd to the return of ECW.
Shane McMahon: Tonight we've got a hell of a show for you all. But let me cut to the chase. ECW has no world champion. I'm here to change that. Starting tonight, we're going to have a tournament to decide the NEW ECW World Heavyweight Champion. Former champions from years past will all compete to see who will become crowned champion. I don't intend to keep everyone waiting, however. Let's get on with the show!
Rating: 69

Tazz.jpg

We get a backstage promo from Taz, long-time ECW alumni. He announces his entry into the tournament but feels reluctant, as he doesn't know if he can go through with it completely. He makes a wager that if he cannot win the ECW World Heavyweight Championship, he will retire.

Rhyno vs. Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Mikey Whipwreck

In an okay match, Rhyno defeated Bam Bam Bigelow and Mikey Whipwreck in 14:05. Mikey failed to keep up with Bam Bam and Rhyno. The crowd was hot for Rhyno.

Chris Candido 7.jpg

Chris Candido comes out and announces that he's dedicating the next match to Sunny, who left him behind to go manage Buff Bagwell and Val Venis on RAW. He tells everybody that he'll dedicate every match to Sunny until she comes back to him. The crowd, unsure how to feel about this, boos him.

Chris Candido vs. Al Snow

In a match that not-so-good wrestling and little heat, Al Snow decimated Chris Candido. During the match Al Snow pitied Candido, but mercy-killed him following his dedication to Sunny.

RVD 2k1.jpg

We cut backstage to find RVD opening bags and looking through them desperately.
RVD: C'mon man, it's gotta be here somewhere. It couldn't have just walked away.
RVD pauses and posits for a moment.
RVD: Or could it...? Nah.
He goes back to looking through the bags and then laughs when he pulls out a small bag of something nondescript inside.

RVD: Hah, there it is!

RVD slams shut the locker he was looking in and the camera zooms in to reveal the name on the locker: Big Show

In a poor match, Sabu defeated Shane Douglas and Justin Credible in 13:12. Both Sabu and Shane Douglas seemed to have been off their game.

The Big Show comes into the locker room to find all his stuff in disarray. Angered and pissed off, he throws everything around and destroys the locker room.

Shane McMahon.jpg
Paul Heyman 2k1.jpg

Shane McMahon and Paul Heyman stand in the ring to the raucous crowd.
Shane McMahon: We've had a pretty good show so far, isn't that right, Paul E? But it seems we're missing someone... perhaps, ECW's #1 Overall draft pick?

Paul Heyman: Ladies and gentlemen, I give you... The Canadian Crippler, the Rabid Wolverine, the one, the only... CHRIS BENOIT!!!
Chris Benoit 9.jpg

Benoit comes out to his music, with the crowd chanting his name. He shakes hands with Paul Heyman and Shane McMahon and is handed a mic.
Benoit: It's an honor to be here in ECW. There's a lot of history and there's no better way to make history than with the best wrestler in the world today-
Eddie Guerrero 10.jpg
Before Benoit can get any further "Latino Heat" hits and out comes Eddie Guerrero. Guerrero has a sneer on his face and stares down Benoit, who refuses to back down.
Guerrero: Best wrestler in the world, chico? Let's be honest, Chris. You're good; you're not the best wrestler in the world though. In fact, I'm disgusted with the fact I wasn't the #1 overall pick. We all know I can beat you every night of the week. That's exactly why I took over the Radicalz when you left. I was always a better leader. You wanna talk about history with ECW too? I was the bigger star here and in WCW than you ever were.
Benoit and Guerrero stare each other down and step up, nose to nose, both prepared to lock hands, when suddenly...

Bubba Ray Dudley 2k1.jpg
D-Von Dudley 2k1.jpg

The Dudley Boys come out to wreck the party, the crowd going wild and chanting "Get the Tables!". They climb into the ring and get mics.
Bubba Ray: The way I see it, there's too much talking between the two of you, and not enough fighting. Perhaps since you two left ECW so long ago, we might just have to re-introduce you to the concept of "Extreme". Why don't you two face off against us right now in our favorite match.

D-Von: You two and us, in a Tables match, right here, right now. Or are the two of you cowards?
Benoit and Guerrero look at each other and reluctantly agree to face off against the Dudleys... right now!!!

Rating: 67

Tables Match
Bubba Ray Dudley 2k1.jpg

vs.
Chris Benoit 9.jpg
Eddie Guerrero 10.jpg

In a good match, The Dudley Boys defeated Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit. The Dudleys continue to show they are a great team together. During the match, Benoit and Guerrero showed they were unwilling to cooperate with each other, trying to win the match by themselves to prove a point. It became their undoing against the united Dudleys. Benoit was by far the MVP of the match.

Not a bad start, hopefully our long term plans result in longer ratings :lmao I'm happy with everything though I did think the main event would be better received.
