Discussion geared to the rap genre. From underground hip hop (Booty) to mainstream sleaze (Alex), let any rap-related discussion happen in here.

Might as well begin by saying that J Cole's new album isn't that great. I'm really hoping for Yeezus to be much better.. as I'm sure it will be.

I thought "Trouble" and "She Knows" were by far the best tracks off of Born Sinner. Still thought it was a good album.

Yeezus NEEDS to be good. This shits been anticipated more than the return of Abraham Lincoln in office.

Have you heard Asher Roth's remix over that beat? It's wonderful. Really fun beat, btw.

After listening to a few of his songs, I'm really looking forward to hearing more from Benton on his new album. His song with Vinnie fucking Paz was so ill.

I have to admit, his songs probably aren't the best but I also believe some of the songs that he's featured in probably wouldn't be as good if he wasn't in them. Especially this song.

TI kills it though.

I'll listen to that song right now but I do agree that sometimes Future does add to a song. Like on U.O.E.N.O. He kills the hook. It's a wonderful hook, BTW. There are a few times where I don't mind his voice all that much. Since autotune is usually all that he uses in every song, I just think it's his real voice and go with it

EDIT: This song is fucking good but Lil' Wayne NEEDS to stop rapping about pussy. It's seriously the only thing he really raps about. He can do so much better than that.

I know, I heard pussy three times in his verse. It gets so annoying 'cause he says pussy in every song.

Future can't carry a song himself. "Karate Chop" is one of the worst songs out in a while to receive consistent airplay on the rap stations.. There's nothing to it, though I admit in cases like "Bitches and Bottles", "Fly Rich" and "U.O.E.N.O" he definitely provided a great hook and set the tone for the songs. Still, "U.O.E.N.O" wasn't that special until Wiz got a hold of it. And speaking of Wiz, his remix of "Kush Do" is excellent.

Wiz on remixes in general has all been win this year. I especially like his remix of "Started From The Bottom"..

I love the song Wiz did with King Los and Cassie. Man Los has flow.

Beat's killer too. And Cassie's turnin' into one bad bitch!
