That's Brock, though. The interesting thing about The Shield is that they're all equal, there isn't a leader of the group, unlike lots of stables. Reigns doing that would be contradicting that.

I agree that there's no designated leader of the group but that doesn't mean they're all equals in every capacity. Reigns is definitely seen as the most physically dominating of the trio, hence why he only took his first legit loss (by either pinfall or submission) months after the first two did, and why he eliminated four guys at Survivor Series and stood tall as the sole survivor in the end.

If he tossed out Ambrose and Rollins, it'd be a spur of the moment thing, which wouldn't make either of them look weak (though again, Reigns being the strongest of the three would more than make up for it.) And Brock back then wasn't much bigger than Reigns is now (if there's any size difference at all.)

Brock had beaten The Rock to win the title at Summerslam just before!

True, but it didn't matter lol. It's just a battle royal, nobody will think anyone is weak just because they're tossed over the top unexpectingly, especially by a large guy like Reigns.

If you wanna get old school, a midcard tag team like The Twin Towers double teamed and threw Hogan (of all people) over the top rope cleanly in 1989. That was harder to believe than Reigns tossing out his two teammates at the same time.

It's hard to look weak when it's just an over the top rope battle royal. It didn't make the World's Greatest Tag Team (Shelton and Haas) look weak when Brock did the same thing in 2003. Reigns eclipses Ambrose and Rollins in size and strength and it would take them by surprise when he did it anyway.

I agree that a stare down between The Shield and the Wyatts would be awesome though, especially since I think a match between the two groups will happen at Mania.

Bryan taking on the entire Shield himself is an interesting scenario as well, and it reminds me of Luger having to take on the whole NWO (Hall, Nash, Giant, Syxx) by himself at the end of the World War 3 battle royal in '96. It could be an awesome moment.

In all fairness, they did try and push Rikishi to the top in 2000 when they had him revealed as the guy that ran over Austin. But unfortunaely, it flopped and killed all the momentum he had as a babyface beforehand. And yes, Reigns does deserve a push. He has a lot of potential (he's young, hungry and motivated from what I can tell) and the marketable look that the 'E desires. He's not the best talker but he's not horrible either, and if you watch him in interviews, he actually does have a lot of natural charisma, he just needs to be allowed to bring that out more with his on-screen persona (which he will I'm sure when The Shield finally splits and each guy develops a lot more of their own distinct personality.) Other big guys (Batista, Goldberg, Lesnar, etc.) weren't the greatest talkers either, but they all still became stars.
Still no. He's got nothing behind him. Someone like Big E deserves his push, but Reigns doesnt. Big E has done what Reigns hasnt. And Big E isn't a generation based superstar. He's got the charisma and the in-ring skill along with being able to get over with the crowd. Without the Shield idea, Reigns probably wouldn't have been called up, he's ultimately a lost cause without them, and I hate the Shield in general, so that's fitting in a sense.

You have a Johnny-Ace-esque eye for talent.

Not a fan of Big E bromandude?
Big E is cool but Reigns is better. Big E screams career mid carder to me (not a bad thing) and Reigns has star potential that anyone can see.

Sure, sure. But c'monnn we all know being related to Rocky has something to do with his push

probably had more with getting him a job than getting him the push honestly. He is going to get pushed because he is a breakout star in a great new stable

Well shouldn't Rollins and Ambrose get a push like Reigns then? They're focusing on Reigns more, look at Survivor Series

Reigns is getting pushed straight to the top, you can't really push 3 motherfuckers to the top

If they really wanted to, they could.
People have called for a while that Reigns will be the biggest star coming out of the Shield. He has the size, look, athleticism and natural charisma that WWE faps to when making main eventers.
