WWE needs to protect Regins' spear like New Japan protects Okada's Rainmaker. Make it the most legit of moves.

Possible MOTN? I think so.

Reigns was beast as always, everyone delivered way well.

Epic ending, push the big man.

Anybody else notice that the spear is apparently the move to use if you want to make it in the WWE? Goldberg, Edge, now Reigns. Who am I missing?

Rhyno. He did an awesome Gore (that's what he called it) but he wasn't much of a success compared to the other guys you mentioned. Goldberg was a WCW guy first, btw.

I always hated Edge using the spear. It's better fit for bigger guys the size of Reigns or Goldberg or even Rhyno (who I recall being bigger than Edge... Rhyno at least put more velocity and charge into his version of the spear than Edge did.) Edge and now even Christian using the spear makes the move seem ultra weak. I'm surprised WWE hasn't demanded that Christian stop using it now that Reigns has it as his finisher. They typically don't like it when guys have similar trademark moves.

Yeah I know Goldberg was WCW, but it still applies IMO. Seen the Big Show do it a few times too, but it looks horrible when he does it.

- There are already plans for Roman Reigns to get a huge push in next year’s Royal Rumble match similar to Kane and Kevin Nash in the past where they rack up eliminations.

Awesome.

I figured already that Roman Reigns would probably be the one to put on the best Rumble performance for next year. It's kind of a tradition in Rumble matches to have a big guy go on a reign of dominance (Yokozuna, Rikishi, Diesel, Kane, etc.) and Reigns obviously fits that bill this year. I wouldn't be surprised to see him break Kane's record for the most eliminations, but then I had similar thoughts about Ryback this year and he barely eliminated anyone.

This I think would be a cool moment - Ambrose and Rollins are teaming up and fending people off, then Reigns hits the ring and together with the two of them, they eliminate everyone else in the ring. However, Reigns then grabs both Rollins and Ambrose by the back of their necks and tosses them at the same time to a huge pop (every man for himself and all.... it could also cause further discord between them.)

Would make Ambrose and Rollins look weak, that.

During the Rumble match, I hope we get a moment where The Shield and The Wyatts have a stare down in the middle of the ring and then start to brawl. Also, similar to the RR when the final four was Legacy and HHH, I think that could happen with The Shield and Daniel Bryan - overcoming the odds...

Reigns doesn't deserve a push. Only getting it because he's part of the A'noai family. Hell, only person who deserved their push was Rock, he could do endless things on the mic and he could put on an entertaining match. Rikishi I'd also say deserved a push, sad he never got one. But Reigns isn't that impressive in the ring. And he has no charisma. AT ALL.

I doubt Reigns is getting a push because of being related to The Rock. There are plenty of wrestlers that had family members in the WWE, and a good amount of them didn't get pushed.

Still wouldn't mind Roman breaking Kane's record. It'd be pretty awesome :obama:

No, it's because he's related to the Rock. Easy to tell.

It's hard to look weak when it's just an over the top rope battle royal. It didn't make the World's Greatest Tag Team (Shelton and Haas) look weak when Brock did the same thing in 2003. Reigns eclipses Ambrose and Rollins in size and strength and it would take them by surprise when he did it anyway.

I agree that a stare down between The Shield and the Wyatts would be awesome though, especially since I think a match between the two groups will happen at Mania.

Bryan taking on the entire Shield himself is an interesting scenario as well, and it reminds me of Luger having to take on the whole NWO (Hall, Nash, Giant, Syxx) by himself at the end of the World War 3 battle royal in '96. It could be an awesome moment.

In all fairness, they did try and push Rikishi to the top in 2000 when they had him revealed as the guy that ran over Austin. But unfortunaely, it flopped and killed all the momentum he had as a babyface beforehand. And yes, Reigns does deserve a push. He has a lot of potential (he's young, hungry and motivated from what I can tell) and the marketable look that the 'E desires. He's not the best talker but he's not horrible either, and if you watch him in interviews, he actually does have a lot of natural charisma, he just needs to be allowed to bring that out more with his on-screen persona (which he will I'm sure when The Shield finally splits and each guy develops a lot more of their own distinct personality.) Other big guys (Batista, Goldberg, Lesnar, etc.) weren't the greatest talkers either, but they all still became stars.

That's Brock, though. The interesting thing about The Shield is that they're all equal, there isn't a leader of the group, unlike lots of stables. Reigns doing that would be contradicting that.
