They work better as full albums, almost pseudo concept albums and he'll edit some songs for singles versions

I’d never listened to him either but I’ve listened to both since they got drafted..MAAD City I enjoyed more but he has alot going on in both albums

this already sounds like more like Jeff's style. I do love my concept albums

Good kid, MAAD City, is probably not even a pseudo concept album, it tells a full story pieced together out of order more or less.

TPAB is more social commentary but they all relate well

Yeah. I think rolling the dice with viking music or new age gregorian chanting - was less of a risk tbh lol

I think this is why I didn't stray into rap too much. There were at least one or two more rap albums that I could have picked, BUT yes from BOTS I realized there were better options if I wanted to compete in the competition.

Very beautiful album, always been a big fan of Hurt like many others but there was some on here I hadn't heard before really. Loved the version of Personal Jesus on this and I also thought Bridge Over Troubled Water was lovely with the Fiona Apple duet really adding a lot to it, their voices go absolutely perfectly together, perhaps my favourite on this album after Hurt. Cash's voice is absolutely haunting and amazing and tells an incredible story in this. Hit me pretty deep in the feels listening to it, especially I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry. Man that song hits you hard.

I really dig Immortal Technique. To this day, Dance with the Devil is Haunting as fuck
that song is fucking terrifying

edit: scarier than most metal I've ever listen to

Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest was also another hip hop album I considered, I didn't even listen to it in full until a couple months ago and I've been bumping it since lol

I'm sad no one took In Rainbows by Radiohead tbh, I wasn't gonna take a second from the same artist but I def would have picked it if I didn't get OK Computer first
Definitely considered a few of their albums. Got close to drafting The Bends at one point, that's my favourite album of theirs. Fake Plastic Trees is probably my favourite song they've ever done if I had to choose.

Cause I wanted to, that’s why. Wouldn’t have blamed anyone who took more than one of his, since they all are pretty good. Sure I could’ve took someone else, but I love some of the songs on the album. Now if you mean why I waited til last and not sone other slot? I wanted to give any of his other fans a chance to get one of them. But only Jimmy took one.
I just figured you’d want to diversify more
