Sorry but Alive 2007 is an absolute musical escapade, and they way they mixed up all the songs and transitions it’s like all new music. So masterfully done.

To Pimp a Butterfly is probably my favorite hip hop album of all time at this point so I'm glad I got it, got nervous when I saw Oldjay picked Kendrick too but he made my choice between those two albums easier :lol

I considered drafting some British Rap/Grime - but honestly the albums aren't even close to be better than any of the albums even the alternative stuff I picked.

almost all the songs are on Booty's choice so it felt like "meh, ppl will already have listened to these songs, if they like em they can go back to the album"

but yes, Discovery is sexy as hell. everyone should listen to it

Sure but the live versions are definitely different

lacking a bit of britt rap

also I ended up going for more mainstream albums but I always recommend:

felt maybe people didn't wanna listen to a double CD rap epic, it's a lot to digest.

Nah, I was thinking more of Kool Keith and his many egos, and Deltron 3030 honestly and a few other "alternative hip-hop" groups

One of the Streets albums would be as close as I got

They work better as full albums, almost pseudo concept albums and he'll edit some songs for singles versions

I know I wanted a Kendrick album, to me Good Kid is better top to bottom, but Butterfly isn't far behind. Kid Kenny isn't my all time favorite rapper, BUT his entire catalogue compared to others might be my favorite. Him and J Cole really.

this already sounds like more like Jeff's style. I do love my concept albums

I considered it and Illmatic too but I thought one hip hop album was enough for this site after seeing battle of the songs lol
