Happy Gilmore: We only had one match at the Super Mario Classic in which Shania Twain and Juice competed in the Elimination Final and boy, oh boy, oh boy was this one hell of an interesting contest.
Happy Gilmore: In the first round Juice would have an absolute stinker as they would go around the course and post a +13. Shania's first round would be much better as they would post a +7 for the round and this true underdog true was starting to look it might just be possible. On the second round Shania would improve on their score as they would post a -5, but Juice would do an incredible job as they would go around the course fixing all the mistakes of the first attempt to claim -11 for the round. After calculations by the geeks - I love my Geek Squad - they were ruled to both be at a Combined scored of plus two and so were required to complete a tie break round.
Shania went around for -3 and by Twain's body language it looked as though they thought they had been eliminated, however Juice would be unable to unlock her form in her second round attempt as she would only manage to score -1 meaning that Shania Twain advances to the League Grand Final.
Happy Gilmore: I can reveal that the League Grand Final will be taking place at the Mango Haze Forest Course - a venue in which the entire field visited in the second week of the regular season. The independent panel decided that because this was the course in which no one was able to go under par on their first attempt, it would offer the biggest challenge for our finalists. I wish the best of luck to both our competitors.
The entrants will be required to play two rounds with the best overall score crowning them as the 'SMGL GRAND CHAMPION' To compete click on the link below - and good luck to the two involved.
In our 2020 League Grand Final we saw Shania Twain and Raidokken return to 'The Mango Haze Forest Course' for two rounds to compete for the inaugural Smark Mini Golf League Championship. In the First Round Raidokken would post a +7, whilst the competition underdog Shania would post a +1. In the Second Round Raidokken would massively improve and post a score of -2 to have a total score of +5 for the final. Shania would post a worse score of +2 - but would shock fans around the world as his combined total of score of +3 means that @Shania Twain is the...
A number of other end of season votes also took place - the winner of these accolades are as followers:
Player's Toughest Opponent: Chris
Player's Player: Raidokken (although to everyone's confusion Greg Norman received a nomination)
Least Favourite Course: Cape Canaveral
Favourite Course: Mango Haze Forest Course
Smarkters Tournament Winner: Raidokken
Thank you to everyone that took part in this competition - and perhaps we will have a 2021 version .
