R.J. Makelroy, former reporter with PWA.COM, was present at the last show of upstart Indy Wresling sensation, Alternative Championship Wrestling (or ACW for short) working the crowd with interviews and tried to get some comments from the talent.
Here's is what he reported:
This crowd was nuts. I've been a part of independent shows before, but they have a loyal following that borders on cult. I wasn't received well by the staff and the talent. I think it had to do with the PWA on the microphone. Old habits. I have since lost the old logo. No sense dragging it around anymore.
Spent the night talking with near rabid fans. Most of them knew the ACW wrestlers well, but some had come to see if PWA was going to show up. In fact, several bee-lined it to me once they say the logo. The rumors are still unsubstantiated, but the odds are good that some of the blackballed superstars may find a home here. It will be quite a change from the bright lights and huge crowds the PWA was bringing there at the end.
No, the only decent interview came as a surprise. That is why I am going to give it to you verbatim below!
That was where the interview ended. Still no word about any of the other superstars from the now defunct PWA. Although, word is that Max Knight has a movie deal in the works; something about revamping the Three Ninjas franchise.

R.J. pushing through the crowd: “Zack! Zack! Can I get a word with you?”
I wasn't sure, at first, but it was him, the bad ass himself, Zack Bronko: “Excuse me?”
R.J.: “Mr. Bronko, I'm R.J. Makelroy, formerly with PWA...”
Bronko: “Hell, I know who ya are, now what in the hell do ya want?”
R.J.: “Can I get a statement concerning PWA superstars coming to the ACW? I mean, you're here, that must MEAN something?”
Bronko: “Listen, chuckles, I don't know what in the hell you're ranting about, but I came here to enjoy the night with my wife and son and I don't need any of your bullshit!”
R.J.: “Are you telling me you know nothing about the rumors that some of your associates are in talks with Phoenix at this moment about coming aboard ACW?”
Bronko: “I'm not tellin' you shit! Now, if you'll excuse me...”
Zack turned to leave but received a scolding look from his wife. Bronko looked down at his son and let out an exasperating sigh. He, finally, turned and replied: “Ok, I got a phone call. I'm not at liberty to disclose who it was from, but they are very interested in what is going on here. I came to check things out. Seems Darren Pesinger and Stevie Starr have already signed deals or are in the talks right now. Past that? I got nothin'.”
R.J.: “And what do you think of the talent here in the ACW?”
Bronko: “Hell, they have talent. It's pretty raw, but I like that gritty feel. But, if you're asking if I can kick their asses? Yep. All of em.”
R.J.: “Wow! So, what about Zack Bronko?”
Bronko: “What about Zack Bronko?”
