Well, in England Prince William is getting married and we are all getting a bank holiday for it.

Do you think they take these things too far?

This has been all over the news here I can't imagine what it is like in England.

I don't think a bank holiday is taking it too far. This wedding will bring in so much money and for a country in recession this will go a long way to boost their economy. I am sure this is partly why they decided to announce it now rather than waiting another year or two.

Good luck to the two of them. They both seem like nice people and I hope that they are made King and Queen rather than Charles and Camilla who would be horrible in the role.

Seriously, it's everywhere you go from cake stores to local parks.

But yeah it would help our economy,.

I can't believe all the tacky merchandise that has been made for it and people must be buying it. In the paper they have been showing the variety of things on offer and I have seen the usual things like plates and napkins but then there are sickbags and condoms. Everyone is cashing in.

I just don't understand who buys all that stuff.

There will supposedly be at least 1 billion people watching the wedding on friday.

It is a rare thing. There aren't that many monarchies left and the British monarchy would be the biggest there is. They still "rule" over the Commonwealth so there is that link and a lot of people from those countries have an interest since William and Kate could be in charge of them in the future. I was surprised to hear that they are getting publicity in the US, I didn't think it would interest them that much.

I'm getting tired of hearing about the Royal Wedding, because I honestly have little interest in Kate and William getting married. I'm sure that its going to be a huge event, because Monarchy has been much been abolished. I'm happy for Kate and William, because they look good together and I hope that they enjoy a happy and long life together. I'm probably not going to watch the Royal Wedding, because I'm sure I'll hear about it for days to come. I wasn't around for Charles and Diana? (Correct me on that?), but even that was a huge deal at the time and the internet and cellphones etc... are around for Kate and William, so there will be a lot more coverage of this Royal Wedding.

Everybody seems to be making a huge deal, because they are having parties and gatherings to watch the Royal Wedding. I guess people are interested about in the Royal Monarchs, especially when they are right across the pond from here.

Well it is all over now and the reported viewership numbers are ridiculous. They are reporting that close to two billion people watched the wedding! This cost about $20 million but the UK will make almost 100 times back on that investment.

I saw some pictures and Kate looked hot. Will definitely improve the blood lines.

Hopefully for the sake of the monarchy when the Queen goes it skips Charles and Camilla and goes straight to Will and Kate who are universally liked.

I didn't watchm, and I'm glad it's over. Maybe now I can watch the news without having to hear about it anymore. I've never been too keen on the monarchy, since I find it outdated and unnecessary. And the media coverage for this was rediculous, what is the facination with people who don't do anything but be famous. Such a weird voyueristic life, when you think about it.

And that is how I feel pretty much, although I don't have any problem with them as people, and wish them well, I just don't see any value in the Royal Family and like you suggested they just hang on to the past and do very little to earn their titles or money for that matter.

Had no interest in the wedding. Not unless you class an attraction for Kate Middleton (or her sister) as interest.

Worst thing is the people who camped out for days to get a good spot. Sad people.

Yesterday the front cover of the newspaper here had a picture of Kate pushing a shopping trolley. Just shows how bad the media is these days that that can become front page news. Just leave these people alone, it is good that she doesn't have a servant to do her shopping.
