Last year, The Revival requested their release from WWE, however they weren’t granted their release. The former tag team champions were also offered a new 5 year deal worth $550k per year, which they turned down.

It was reported earlier today via Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live that WWE Superstars Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson, The Revival, once again requested their release from the company sometime last week. WWE in turn, once again denied their request for release.

““I can tell you this last week The Revival asked for their release again. They were not given their release. They desperately want out.” “
In an exclusive update, I can confirm Alvarez’s report that The Revival did ask for their releases from the company. I can also report that The Revival were offered another huge deal, which was said to be higher than the $700k per year that The Club were given, which The Revival again turned down. I was told that the two are “just ready to go.”

While only a few of WWE’s offers to The Revival have been reported on, it was told to me by a source close to the situation that there has been “quite a few now,” and that there has been a lot of back and forth between both sides.

Scott Dawson’s WWE contract is set to expire sometime in April, and Dash Wilder’s is up in June
Outside of the quote from Alvarez, this is from "bodyslam.net" so take of it what you will. Anyway, personally i'm sick to death of hearing about these two and can't wait for them to fuck off, they're so bland it's unbelievable. They've made it so blatantly obvious that they want to go to AEW that if AEW had any sense about them, they would offer them a fraction of what the WWE is offering since they clearly want to go there so bad. They're barely even worth that tbh.

I never been on The Revival hype train but I still have to acknowledge that they were in some of the best tag matches of the last half decade. They've basically been neutered on the main roster, outside of their short lived alliance with Randy Orton which was great, but WWE didn't want to keep them together. Whether they resign with WWE or go somewhere else, I hope they find fulfillment in their work and are able to work some more bangers.

I hope they get it, I for one think they are an amazing tag team and deserve WAY way better than they are getting.

I mean, one of the best tag teams in the WWE. Will really add to the already pretty good tag team division AEW has.

I love The Revival, and I hope they stay and keep having a pretty good run instead of this stop and start stuff they've been doing. That being said, if they want out then power to them, they can do whatever they want. I think they'd be good in AEW, but they'd be really awesome in the NWA.

Oh yeah, NWA be great also. The selfish side of me wants AEW, but as long as they get to put on bangers and actually used right I’m happy no matter where they go.

Honestly they'd kill it wherever they went. NWA is a perfect fit for them. They would also TEAR IT UP in New Japan or ROH. Hell, Impact could put them to great use and them vs. The North is a borderline dream match.

I think they're AEW bound though, which I'm a little tenuous about, because truthfully they have a lot of gimmicky fuckery that gives me pause about how Dash and Scott would fit in.

I love The Revival; I have for years. But here’s the thing about WWE, it’s a personality and character based company. The Revival aren’t characters; what you see with them is what you get. And for as talented as they are, they were never gonna be ahead of a team like The New Day when it comes to the pecking order. Then you add in other factors like Heavy Machinery getting over, Miz and Morrison reuniting and it’s not surprising that they’re low on the totem pole.

If I’m WWE and I really wanna keep these guys, I’m sending them back to NXT. It’s the most wrestling based show in the show and I truly believe they’d get back to enjoying themselves.

I don't get the Revival hype. They're fucking boring to me, and I wish they'd make up their damn minds and either stay or go, they're not important enough for this 'will they or won't they' bullshit.
