I still think this is a good or borderline great movie tbh was just a cash grab that wasn't needed and not a masterpiece like the first two. Never really got the hate, reminded me of Back to the Future in a way (not the cash grab part) where the third movie is obviously the lesser one compared to the first two, but still really good

Yea, I would agree. I didn't like it very much on first viewing but over time it has grown on me and I've learned to appreciate aspects of it. It just has a hard time stacking up to the first and second movie. I think Al Pacino felt a bit restrained in parts too, but I really enjoyed his character arc in the second film.
