FWIW I don't think there was any good way of answering the question, it definitely came off as a pretty loaded question, and I was talking with a friend that no matter what Trips answers there were gonna be people unsatisfied with it. I don't think there's necessarily a wrong perspective on it and you're definitely allowed to criticize the answer (and WWE's history for that matter).

(There's definitely a wrong perspective but that perspective is basically, "Triple H did nothing wrong and these darn black people should quit complaining and get REAL jobs". You know, like Nazis and Racists!)

There is lots of ways to answer the question better than saying I don't see color. I think acting like the question is some unanswerable gotcha is a massive cope out and exactly what is wrong with Hunters answer. "We are aware of that perception but we value every talent on the roster. We certainly will look into changing that perception because that doesn't reflect our values". This shit is easy man.

What exactly is loaded about the question other than it makes people uncomfortable to answer it?

Booker T's take :

“Has there been bias in the wrestling business, in the wrestling company before? Yes, there has, but do I think it’s race-related or anything like that, or someone being belittled on purpose? I don’t … I’m gonna say, okay, what guys are we talking about that we saying that should be on the pay-per-view? Are they in any angles to warrant a reason for being on the pay-per-view? I don’t think it’s a black-and-white thing. I don’t think it’s a race thing at this stage of the game. I think if you’re talented enough if you’re good, cream is gonna rise to the top every time.”
