What does the future hold for ROH? Does it have the potential of being a global organization?
Thats real tough to say at the moment. I think goal for ROH is to get on tv, gain more exposure, and grow. From what it sounds like, they have been having money problems, although that could all just be rumors. I would say ROH is in a OK position at the moment. If ROH draws 500 fans, sometimes they consider that to be poor. Well look at TNA. They have a ton of money flying out the window. So i think ROH in 2009 is going to look more into television, and hopefully get some financial backing. They might be penny pinching at the moment, but on the other hand, they are to show they are a sucessful organization with profits, before someone gives them financial backing. I still think one day ROH could take over the wrestling world. Or at least put its stamp on it. I would imagine the wwe would stay more on the entertainment side, while wrestling fans would stick with ROH. But who really knows , the adam pearce booking could blow up and ROH goes out of business. Its kinda 50/50 now for ROH.
- If you had to choose between the two, which one would it be: Kurt Angle vs. Bret Hart or The Rock vs. John Cena, and why?
It depends on the variables, although i really like these two matchups. If i ran the wwe, from a business perspective Cena/Rock would be a incredible draw, where as Angle/Bret would just be a great match. I think the buildup to both would be great, but again Cena/Rock Promos would be better.
From a fans perspective, In the wwe I'd rather see Cena/Rock due to the buildup. Plus the fact, the wwe never really allows their wrestlers to go all out. If we were talking ROH, or maybe even WCW back in the day Hitman and Angle would have a classic no doubt. Only if it wasn't in a wwe ring, would i take Angle vs. the Hitman.
- What do you think of Ted DiBiase Jr.?
As JR would say....He's a stud. I knew he was a very good wrestler heading into the wwe, but i didnt know how good he was on the mic. I think he's the total package. It would be a crime if the wwe doesn't book him properly. So far so good. But with all these 2/3rd generation clones, i hope he doesnt get overlooked. To me, he's on par with Randy Orton, without the backstage BS. So i very high on him, and as i mentioned earlier in a question, I'd look for him to end the career of HBK. Or least have a good fued before HBK retires.
Good Questions.
