The Pro Wrasslin’ Business 2025

The Premise
Well, it’s the North American Pro Wrasslin’ Business in 2025 to be a little more precise than the title of this BTB. The idea is that I will be booking WWE (Raw, NXT and SD only), AEW, ROH and TNA. I will be starting this BTB from the week of shows starting 2nd June (Raw). This means Fyter Fest, When Worlds Collide and MITB all in first week, so wish me luck.

The Twist
As opposed to using TEW/EWR, I’m doing something a little different here. Each company/brand I am booking has been allocated a number, which looks like this:

Raw = 1
NXT = 2
AEW = 3
ROH = 4
TNA = 5
Smackdown = 6

At the beginning of each week of shows, after planning, I will be using a rolling dice generator online to roll one of these numbers. I will then be using the ‘Universe Mode Random Events’ generator that has previously been shared on Discord to get a random event that I must incorporate into the show/company which number the dice rolled.

Most likely, at the bottom of the impacted show, I will include a summary of what the generated event was and how it impacted the show.

***

I know, it’s another Stojy BTB. Why do I keep doing this? Yes, this is an additional BTB that I’ll be working on, but no, this does not mean I plan to end my existing WCW, ECW or TNA BTB’s. What I will clarify here is that outside of weekly specials/PPV’s/Premium Live Events, I won’t be writing out full shows like I do elsewhere. Simply put, it will be to much work. Most of this BTB will focus on the booking side of things anyway, with some short, succinct recaps for most shows.

One other thing I want to mention is based on WWE and AEW having big events scheduled in the first week, it's likely you won't see a lot of variation from real life in the first week or two of shows.

The next few posts will be roster posts and what not just to set things up, and then I’ll look to jump into some actual shows from there.

This week’s episode of Raw was heavily focused on Money in The Bank, seeming as the show is this coming weekend. Raw was heavily focused on the coalition of Paul Heyman guys, of course we’re talking about Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, wanting to manipulate the state of play on Raw to allow Rollins the easiest path to the briefcase. To open this week’s edition of Raw, CM Punk made his way to the ring to give his thoughts on the main event, where he would face AJ Styles and El Grande Americano with the winner advancing to the Men’s MITB ladder match. After giving his thoughts on both current champions, World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso and WWE Champion John Cena, and what it would mean to win the briefcase and fight for a World Title again, Punk was interrupted by Rollins and co. Using the numbers game, they looked to surround the ring, until Uso and Sami Zayn ran down to even the odds, leaving the heels to opt to wait until later tonight to fight. Later on in the night, there was a tag match which saw Jey Uso and Sami Zayn defeat Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed by DQ. Seth interfered and the dastardly trio continued their attack afterwards, until CM Punk evened the odds, and the faces stood tall. Curiously, throughout the night, before the main event, Paul Heyman managed to have some intriguing conversations with Punk’s opponents. Whilst Heyman simply wished AJ Styles luck, his conversation with Chad Gable was intriguing. Heyman pressed Gable to do the right thing because he all the potential in the world and having Heyman on his good side could do wonders for him. Heyman constantly refers to Gable as Mr. Americano and after Heyman makes his pitch and leaves, a bewildered Gable wonders out loud who this Americano person is. The main event itself is full of carnage and interference with Rollins, Breakker and Reed getting involved, meaning Jey Uso and Sami Zayn come to thwart them. With absolute carnage, surprisingly, AJ Styles manages to pin El Grande Americano after a Styles Clash to qualify for Money In The Bank. CM Punk was unable to interrupt the fall as Rollins held onto his leg for dear life, and with a shock victory, what can AJ do at MITB?

Being involved in the war against Paul Heyman’s treacherous trio was not the only concern of World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso throughout Raw. During his tag team match, the man he will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against on next week’s Raw, Gunther was on commentary. The former champion echoed the same sentiments as last week, that Uso is taking to much on and isn’t focused enough on being champion. Later in the night, when interviewed by Cathy Kelley, Uso disagreed with Gunther’s claim, stating he was taking on all comers because that’s what a champion does. Speaking of all comers, the man he defeated to retain the World Title at Saturday Nights Main Event, and the man he would face in the huge tag team match at MITB, Logan Paul had plenty to say during his in ring promo tonight. He made it clear that he’d be gunning for Uso because he wants to pin Uso and earn a rematch for the World Title, regardless of who the champion is after Raw next week.

After another interesting evening where Sami Zayn was being “dragged down by other men’s wars”, according to Karrion Kross, Kross once again pleaded with Sami to make a drastic change. He implored Sami to make a change, to unleash the true him, but once again, Kross didn’t get the reaction he craved from Sami, who simply walked away.

We’ve discussed the Men’s Money In The Bank ladder match, but plenty happened on the Women’s side on this week’s episode of Raw also. One of the women attempting to qualify for the match tonight, one half of the WWE Womens Tag Team Champions, Liv Morgan, was still furious after being cost her match against Kairi Sane last week. Of course, she was accidentally cost the match by The Judgment Day’s new friend, Roxanne Perez. Roxanne offered her assistance again this week, but Liv turned it down adamantly. She couldn’t afford any mistakes this week. Looking down on Roxanne, Raquel then made a snide remark, until Liv mentioned that she didn’t exactly to come to her rescue last week either, so she doesn’t want Raquel anywhere near her match either. The newest Raw superstar, Stephanie Vaquer managed to defeat Ivy Nile and Liv Morgan in a Triple Threat to qualify for the Money In The Bank ladder match. Vaquer managed to pin Nile after the SVB.

Later on in the night, Vaquer is interviewed by Jackie Redmond, and ‘La Primera’ talked about how she is ready to win MITB. The interview was interrupted by another woman who has qualified for the ladder match, Rhea Ripley. Rhea doesn’t say a word, just nodding appreciatively in the direction of Vaquer, before offering her a fist bump. With a knowing smirk, Vaquer accepted the offer, but it’s likely things won’t be as friendly between these two this weekend. Speaking of not being friendly, Liv Morgan and Raquel would have further issues later on in the night. Kairi Sane would defeat Raquel with the Insane Elbow after Womens World Champion Iyo Sky thwarted Liv’s interference. After the match, Liv blamed Raquel, getting right in her face, and for just a moment it looked like Raquel was going to snap, but she doesn’t.

As if the night couldn’t get any worse for Liv, it did. She overheard Finn Balor telling WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio that he needs to start using Roxanne Perez in future title defences. She’s a valuable asset. Dom seemed unsure, mentioning Liv, however Finn claimed if Liv cared about Dom, she would be happy for him to continue to be successful and hold the IC strap as long as possible. It’s safe to say Liv Morgan, lurking in the background, was less than impressed.

Liv Morgan was not the only action for Judgment Day this week as Finn Balor and JD McDonagh teamed up successfully, defeating The War Raiders. The Raiders looked relatively in control, until interference from both Dom Mysterio, and the World Tag Team Champions The New Day. The War Raiders were gunning for a title rematch against the champions, does this result change this in any way?

Cathy Kelley also caught up with Sheamus, who mentioned he stood up to Rusev last week because he doesn’t like bullies.

A video package aired playing the history of the WWE Womens Intercontinental Championship feud between Lyra Valkyria and ‘The Man’, Becky Lynch.

END.

The show opened up with the new NXT North American Champion Ethan Page in a celebratory mood. Page brags about his victory over Ricky Saint, talks about how his ego carried him to the promised land once again, and how it would be the exact same result at Worlds Collide. All three of Page’s opponents in the Fatal Four Way at Worlds Collide, Je’Von Evans, Laredo Kid and Rey Fenix made it known in their own way that they all disagree. Fed up with the interruptions, Page attempted a cheap shot with the title to Fenix, but Fenix ducked, and a brawl broke out. Kid and Fenix end up working together, clearing the ring of Page and Page’s longtime nemesis in Evans. Tensions remained at a breaking point between these four throughout the night, with security forced to keep them apart backstage. Sick and tired of the chaos, Ava booked a tag team match for later tonight with Kid and Fenix teaming up to take on Evans and Page. Or at least that was Ava’s plan, but the match never actually takes place. Page continues to get one up on his opponents and partner throughout the night, escalating into a crazy brawl in the parking lot as they are all escorted from the building. Page ends up scurrying off in a waiting limo as Evans, Kid and Fenix chase him away, whilst Ava is forced to confirm that her planned match is cancelled. It’s safe to say all three men are going to be gunning for Page this Saturday.

Whilst not doing anything of major note, El Hijo Del Vikingo was shown in the back quite a few times, meeting NXT Superstars as a way to promote his appearance at Worlds Collide where he will defend his AAA Mega Championship against Chad Gable.

Andre Chase didn’t seem all that pleased last week when his new Chase U comrades opted to request a match from Ava with the devastating Darkstate. Well, Chase’s concerns turned out to be VERY warranted, as Darkstate defeated Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors pretty easily. Chase was encouraging to his students afterwards, but it’s clear a lot of work is to be done.

After Trick Williams shocked the world and acquired the TNA Championship at Battleground, tonight he was ready for his first title defence. Trick Willy is interviewed by Byron Saxton, and he talks about how after defeating Joe Hendry, everybody believes in him, and he’s going to show why everybody knows Mike Santana has no chance in tonight’s main event. Kelly Kincaid also caught up with Santana before the main event, who talked about his journey to get to the top. He talked about his admiration for Eddie Guerrero, the similar hurdles he’s faces and how Williams is just another obstacle that he’ll run down. The main event was a hell of a contest and Santana looked to be on his way to victory until TNA’s First Class interfered. AJ Francis and KC Navarro got in Santana’s face until former champion, Joe Hendry made the save. Hendry takes care of First Class but in the process, he accidentally hits Santana, who was leaning over the ropes to get at Francis, when Francis avoided the right hand from Hendry. The blow stunned Santana, who then turned straight into a Trick Shot, meaning Trick Williams successfully defended the TNA Championship against Mike Santana. As Trick celebrated, Hendry looked super upset and guilty on the outside, knowing he probably has some answering to Santana to do in the coming weeks.

The TNA Championship wasn’t the only championship with some severe implications on this show, as quite a bit went down with the NXT Tag Team Championship division. Current champions, Hank Walker and Tank Ledger were interviewed by Sarah Schreiber. They discussed the state of the tag division and how they are ready for anything, when they are interrupted by The High Ryze. Tyriek Igwe and Tyson Dupont shoot their shot, demanding a title shot, but before the champs could respond, Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura appeared on the scene. Briggs was rather friendly with Hank and Tank after successfully teaming with them at Battleground, however, tonight was about business. Briggs and Inamura want a tag title shot as well. The champs are happy to give both teams a shot, but High Ryze and Briggs/Inamura begin debating who gets first shot, which leads to things getting physical. As they brawl, Hank and Tank conveniently just laze around and watch, until Ava appeared and booked the two potential challenger teams in a match. The match is a rather solid tag affair, with Hank and Tank shown watching on a monitor in the back a few times. In the end, High Ryze defeat Briggs and Inamura when Igwe manages to get a Roll Up on Briggs and grab the tights. As soon as the bell rings, High Ryze scurried to the back, signalling that they believe to have earned a title shot. Later on in the night, The High Ryze find Hank and Tank to obnoxiously tell them they are the number one contenders now. Hank and Tank mentioned they didn’t exactly do things the right way, but Igwe and Dupont don’t care, until Josh Briggs and Inamura appear. They are furious that they were cheated out of the match, and another brawl looks likely, however this time Ava gets on the scene before all hell breaks loose. Ava admits she enjoyed the tag match earlier tonight so much that she wants to see it again. She can’t take away High Ryze’s victory, but she doesn’t think that type of victory is befitting of a current/future champion. To put over just how good these teams are, Ava books The High Ryze and Briggs and Inamura in a best of seven series where the winners will get an NXT Tag Title Shot. High Ryze certainly was not happy; however Briggs, Inamura and the tag champs were. Ava also informed that match number two will take place next week.

Last week, Myles Borne agreed to face Charlie Dempsey with his freedom on the line, as he looked to remove himself from the No Quarter Catch Crew. It was nothing personal but after Borne’s unsuccessful yet impressive attempt at becoming NXT Champion at Battleground, Borne felt breaking out on his own would be best for his career. The match was a Heritage Cup Rules Match and both men started off respectfully, although Dempsey became more aggressive and was happy to bend the rules as the match went on. Myles Borne ends up defeating Charlie Dempsey with his Dropkick in round four to officially leave No Quarter Catch Crew. Dempsey was furious at the result and stormed off, not exactly graceful in defeat. Surprisingly though, Borne’s celebration was interrupted, by the Heritage Cup holder himself, Noam Dar. The Scot looked impressed with Borne, as he simply entered the ring and offered a handshake, with Borne accepted. Does that sign of respect mean Dar might be eyeing off Borne as his next challenger? The night didn’t end there for Myles Borne either, as later on in the night, he was prepping his bag to leave the arena, when he was approached by No Quarter Catch Crew members, Tavion Heights and Wren Sinclair. Borne wasn’t sure whether they would react the same as Dempsey, but instead they both hug Borne and wish him the best. There are no hard feelings. The camera pans out though to show Charlie Dempsey watching on from around the corner, and he looked very unhappy.

In her debut after winning LFG, Tyra Mae Steele easily defeats Arianna Grace. The Olympic Gold Medal winning wrestler destroyed Grace, before beating her with a Bridging German Suplex in less than three minutes. The commentary team gush over the performance afterwards and claim that Steele has just put the best women’s division in all of wrestling on notice.

Whilst Steele’s debut was impressive, there were some more developments this week in relation to the women’s division and the NXT Womens Championship. Fresh off her successful victory over Stephanie Vaquer, new champion Jacy Jayne decided to head to the ring, along with the rest of Fatal Influence. It’s worth noting that despite their issues over the past few weeks, the title seemed to have fixed things, as there is no tension between Jayne, Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx. Jayne gave a bit of a victory speech, talking about her journey, thanking her ride or dies in the ring with her, before moving onto what’s next. She claimed that Fatal Influence will dominate the division for as long as they want, and nobody can stop them. It turns out plenty of women on the roster disagree, as the segment got interrupted by Jaida Parker, Jordynne Grace, Lash Legend, Lola Vice and Thea Hail. Each woman talked about why they deserve the next shot, but before things can escalate further, Ava appears on the titantron. Ava announced that they will determine who the first challenger for Jayne will be in the coming weeks. There will be two Triple Threat Matches over the next two weeks, and the winners of those matches will then do battle. Whoever wins that match, will challenge Jacy Jayne for the NXT Womens Championship. Everybody seemed pretty content with the announcement; however we will not know who will feature in the Triple Threat matches until a later date.

In a brief segment, NXT Champion Oba Femi and LFG winner Jasper Troy stared each other down intensely. Both men didn’t even take their eyes off each other as they both signed a contract, agreeing to a future match together. Whilst the segment itself was rather uneventful, a match between these two could be incredibly explosive. Let’s watch this space.

NXT Womens North American Champion Sol Ruca and her tag team partner Zaria were picked up by cameras having a debate in the backstage area. Whilst the argument was picked up halfway through, it seemed that Ruca was not happy with Zaria interfering at Battleground to assist Ruca in defeating Kelani Jordan. Zaria tried to explain that she was only trying to help because Sol looked in trouble, but Ruca told Zaria it was not her place to do so. As the debate continued, a depressed Tatum Paxely approached them, after the duo had offered her some support last week. In agony with the unexpected loss of her tag team partner, Paxely tells them she was hoping she could talk to them. Unlike last week, this week Sol and Zaria were to involved in their own drama and asked Paxely to give them a few minutes to finish their important conversation. Paxely’s face showed she was clearly taken aback by this unexpected response, and she kind of just sulked and walked around a corner. In the next hallway, Tatum is approached by Izzi Dame. Much like last week, it looked like Dame was stirring the pot, as she told Tatum that true friends would help her, and not push her away like Ruca and Zaria just “purge people who aren’t your real friends, because they’d do the same to you in a heartbeat”. With those words, Dame put a caring hand on Paxely’s shoulder before walking away, leaving the upset woman with a lot to ponder.

A sombre looking Tony D’Angelo spent most the night hovering backstage, still upset with his loss to Stacks Lorenzo at Battleground. With D’Angelo sitting on a chair, just looking into space, he was approached by Luca Crusifino. Luca checks in on Tony and wanted to know how they, as in The Family, are going to get revenge on Lorenzo. D’Angelo looked conflicted, he mulled over his words, before he told Luca that he doesn’t trust him. Therefore gaining revenge on Stacks is Tony’s business and nobody else’s.

END.

Bookers Note: This week it was NXT impacted by the event randomizer. The event was surrounding two tag teams competing in a Best of Seven series, hence the rather rushed nature of the series between The High Ryze and Briggs/Inamura. I’m not a big fan of the series really; however I’ve got a few ideas I need to explore further to drum up interest in the tag division in general.

For those who care, originally the opening segment between Ethan Page and his challengers for Worlds Collide was going to result in a tag ream match being booked. That plan was wiped once I was forced to put in match one of a best of seven series.
