This week’s episode of Raw was heavily focused on Money in The Bank, seeming as the show is this coming weekend. Raw was heavily focused on the coalition of
Paul Heyman guys, of course we’re talking about
Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker and
Bronson Reed, wanting to manipulate the state of play on Raw to allow Rollins the easiest path to the briefcase. To open this week’s edition of Raw,
CM Punk made his way to the ring to give his thoughts on the main event, where he would face
AJ Styles and
El Grande Americano with the winner advancing to the Men’s MITB ladder match. After giving his thoughts on both current champions, World Heavyweight Champion
Jey Uso and WWE Champion
John Cena, and what it would mean to win the briefcase and fight for a World Title again, Punk was interrupted by Rollins and co. Using the numbers game, they looked to surround the ring, until Uso and
Sami Zayn ran down to even the odds, leaving the heels to opt to wait until later tonight to fight. Later on in the night, there was a tag match which saw
Jey Uso and Sami Zayn defeat Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed by DQ. Seth interfered and the dastardly trio continued their attack afterwards, until CM Punk evened the odds, and the faces stood tall. Curiously, throughout the night, before the main event, Paul Heyman managed to have some intriguing conversations with Punk’s opponents. Whilst Heyman simply wished AJ Styles luck, his conversation with
Chad Gable was intriguing. Heyman pressed Gable to do the right thing because he all the potential in the world and having Heyman on his good side could do wonders for him. Heyman constantly refers to Gable as
Mr. Americano and after Heyman makes his pitch and leaves, a bewildered Gable wonders out loud who this Americano person is. The main event itself is full of carnage and interference with Rollins, Breakker and Reed getting involved, meaning Jey Uso and Sami Zayn come to thwart them. With absolute carnage, surprisingly,
AJ Styles manages to pin El Grande Americano after a Styles Clash to qualify for Money In The Bank. CM Punk was unable to interrupt the fall as Rollins held onto his leg for dear life, and with a shock victory, what can AJ do at MITB?

Being involved in the war against Paul Heyman’s treacherous trio was not the only concern of World Heavyweight Champion
Jey Uso throughout Raw. During his tag team match, the man he will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against on next week’s Raw,
Gunther was on commentary. The former champion echoed the same sentiments as last week, that Uso is taking to much on and isn’t focused enough on being champion. Later in the night, when interviewed by Cathy Kelley, Uso disagreed with Gunther’s claim, stating he was taking on all comers because that’s what a champion does. Speaking of all comers, the man he defeated to retain the World Title at Saturday Nights Main Event, and the man he would face in the huge tag team match at MITB,
Logan Paul had plenty to say during his in ring promo tonight. He made it clear that he’d be gunning for Uso because he wants to pin Uso and earn a rematch for the World Title, regardless of who the champion is after Raw next week.

After another interesting evening where
Sami Zayn was being
“dragged down by other men’s wars”, according to
Karrion Kross, Kross once again pleaded with Sami to make a drastic change. He implored Sami to make a change, to unleash the true him, but once again, Kross didn’t get the reaction he craved from Sami, who simply walked away.

We’ve discussed the Men’s Money In The Bank ladder match, but plenty happened on the Women’s side on this week’s episode of Raw also. One of the women attempting to qualify for the match tonight, one half of the WWE Womens Tag Team Champions,
Liv Morgan, was still furious after being cost her match against
Kairi Sane last week. Of course, she was accidentally cost the match by
The Judgment Day’s new friend,
Roxanne Perez. Roxanne offered her assistance again this week, but Liv turned it down adamantly. She couldn’t afford any mistakes this week. Looking down on Roxanne,
Raquel then made a snide remark, until Liv mentioned that she didn’t exactly to come to her rescue last week either, so she doesn’t want Raquel anywhere near her match either. The newest Raw superstar,
Stephanie Vaquer managed to defeat Ivy Nile and Liv Morgan in a Triple Threat to qualify for the Money In The Bank ladder match. Vaquer managed to pin Nile after the SVB.
Later on in the night, Vaquer is interviewed by Jackie Redmond, and ‘La Primera’ talked about how she is ready to win MITB. The interview was interrupted by another woman who has qualified for the ladder match,
Rhea Ripley. Rhea doesn’t say a word, just nodding appreciatively in the direction of Vaquer, before offering her a fist bump. With a knowing smirk, Vaquer accepted the offer, but it’s likely things won’t be as friendly between these two this weekend. Speaking of not being friendly, Liv Morgan and Raquel would have further issues later on in the night.
Kairi Sane would defeat Raquel with the Insane Elbow after Womens World Champion Iyo Sky thwarted Liv’s interference. After the match, Liv blamed Raquel, getting right in her face, and for just a moment it looked like Raquel was going to snap, but she doesn’t.
As if the night couldn’t get any worse for Liv, it did. She overheard
Finn Balor telling
WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio that he needs to start using
Roxanne Perez in future title defences. She’s a valuable asset. Dom seemed unsure, mentioning Liv, however Finn claimed if Liv cared about Dom, she would be happy for him to continue to be successful and hold the IC strap as long as possible. It’s safe to say Liv Morgan, lurking in the background, was less than impressed.
…
Liv Morgan was not the only action for
Judgment Day this week as
Finn Balor and
JD McDonagh teamed up successfully, defeating The War Raiders. The Raiders looked relatively in control, until interference from both Dom Mysterio, and
the World Tag Team Champions The New Day. The War Raiders were gunning for a title rematch against the champions, does this result change this in any way?
…
Cathy Kelley also caught up with
Sheamus, who mentioned he stood up to
Rusev last week because he doesn’t like bullies.
…
A video package aired playing the history of the
WWE Womens Intercontinental Championship feud between Lyra Valkyria and ‘The Man’, Becky Lynch.
END.
