This whole thing is sad. Thoughts are with the family of the bystander who was killed. Thoughts are with the person who is severely injured. Obviously Trump is okay as only his ear got grazed but he literally could be dead by now. If he hadn't turned his head while he was speaking he would be dead right now. That's how close it was.

This shouldn't happen to anyone, regardless of political views. Trump, Biden, RFK Jr., whoever.

I want to hope that the people out there who daily talk negatively about whatever political figure they dislike takes a step back to think about how exactly we can express our opinions in a better way... but this constant hatred against each other only leads to the mentally ill people doing something like what happened today.

This reminds me of the Congressional Baseball practice in 2017 where a guy targeted Republicans and shot a few people and for a moment everyone stopped the political bickering and agreed that what happened was unacceptable....but then of course it all went back to chaos again. I wish somehow all of the obsessive hate would stop. It doesn't help anything.
