Because obviously the Israeli government is the only one in the world that simply can't be corrupt. They are not allowed to, so they just aren't. They would never put their own political agendas above the lives of their citizens either, duh.

Three officers were killed in a shooting while attempting to serve a warrant at a home in Charlotte, North Carolina, including one deputy US Marshal and two local task force officers, authorities say.

A total of eight law enforcement officers were shot during the incident, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Johnny Jennings said at a Monday evening news conference.

The shooting unfolded in the 5000 block of Galway Drive as members of the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force were serving a warrant for possession of firearm by a convicted felon, Jennings said.

Protesters began occupying buildings at Columbia University early Tuesday morning, after the school asked them the day before to voluntarily disperse from an encampment set up in support of Palestinians.

On Monday, protesters did not agree to completely deconstruct the encampment, while the school did not agree to stop doing business with Israeli companies, one of student activists' demands. The school also began suspending students.

Some people left the encampment around 1 a.m. Tuesday and moved into Hamilton Hall, an academic building, began moving furniture around and refused to leave until Columbia agreed to divest from Israel.

The judge overseeing Donald J. Trump’s criminal trial fined him $9,000 on Tuesday for repeatedly violating a gag order that bars him from making attacks on witnesses, jurors and others connected to the case.

The judge, Juan M. Merchan, issued his ruling as the former president’s trial began its third week, saying that Mr. Trump’s statements, including on social media, had violated the order. Prosecutors had asked that Mr. Trump be held in contempt, citing 10 public statements that they said posed a “threat” to the trial, which centers on a hush-money deal struck in the final days of his 2016 presidential campaign.
