I believe in the thin blue line if we’re talking about one or two things: we need police to not break into chaos… or my belief that police officers shouldn’t have to die in the line of duty or be killed by activists.

Cops should definitely turn in corrupt colleagues.

... the Stephen King fantasy novel?

It’s a joke, but marrying the military to police never works. There’s a great quote on why it doesn’t, but I’d have to find it.

oh yeah, the police who do their job, who are actually trying to make the community a better place, and everything. I 100% support to the fullest. They keep us safe and without them it be madness. Just don’t like the ones who help cover stuff up. Which I think almost anyone besides them would agree on

They won't though due to the ideology of the Blue Wall of Silence.

I mean didn’t The Stand show us how well that works?

Yep. Those soldiers in The Stand weren't veterans of two wars either. Wonder how it will work out to have guys with 4 or 5 deployments dealing with pink haired white boys throwing bottles at them.

thankfully some actually do. But nowhere near enough. They see each other as brothers and sisters, and sometimes it’s a good thing when they help each other when in actual need. But bad when it’s covering up shit.

I was gonna say when thin blue line was talked about it sounded more like you guys meant the blue wall.

I support the line, but not the wall.

Thin Blue Line is the ideology that the police are necessary to keep society from collapsing into chaos.

Blue Wall of Silence is the dogma that the police service is a brotherhood and that ratting out your brothers or sisters is a taboo.

Blue Wall of Silence is the dogma that the police service is a brotherhood and that ratting out your brothers or sisters is a taboo.

Which is exactly why people distrust the police.

That's more of a New York / Pennsylvania / Michigan thing. I'm sure you see in the papers when a Trooper gets arrested. There is a reason for that. Peace out yall I'm going to work now ;) .

Praying for the day @Dakstang decided to fly down Interstate 75! I'm waiting Beard-O!
