Well, the state is always adding additional training requirements for us these days. I can't speak for every department, especially since there are states I haven't even been to. There isn't a one size fits all solution to whatever problems may exist.
Laws are different cultures are different, etc. The further north you go, you will see the more strict laws are. Hell, our speed enforcement laws here are very different. I bet you didn't know a local cop couldn't stop you just for traveling 10 MPH over the posted speed limit. You can think Long County for that.
Anyway, the stuff that started the riots out in Kenosha was based on a lie that was blew up by the media. The local law enforcement were ordered to stand down, so things got the way the did.
After the verdict, the Kenosha Police scanner had reports of pallets of bricks being set up in the city. Gas lighting, much? Same thing happened in Baltimore last year.
