The woke say it's murder so to make sure people don't think you support wokeness, you have to support this guy
From what I saw he was defending people from being attacked. I mean did he have to choke him to death note, but also someone who coukd be a threat I can see. Very similar to Jordan Williams who wasn't charged at all and he stabbed someone.

I also don't give a shit about woke and not woke.

The reason it's not murder to some is bc it's woke to think it is. Him being not guilty owns the libs.
Ah OK. Didn't get that impression from Wang and was interested in his pov since I believe he works with homeless and at risk youths. So his opinion shocked me a bit.

I'm know people ars growing increasingly callous of homelessness as drug use is more n mire public and rampant but I was unaware we had reached "if they die by someone subduing them oh well they are annoying and dangerous so better them than me" attitude I'm seeing in the comments of this story

The precedent in America has always been you can do whatever you want to someone if they start it and you're "defending" so it's not surprising at all. You can shoot someone 100 times in the face if they steal a purse and a jury will let you off so they can also shoot someone if it happens to them

But if it's agreed someone "didn't need to die" then I don't really care whether we debate the semantics of the term "murder" or not because you've already told me the guy used excessive violence to kill someone, but no punishment should be done. That's all I need to know

Are verbal threats n being aggressive a reasonable legal grounds for a citizen to use lethal force?

Let's have a different scenario since the perpetrator had no idea if the person was homeless or had prior.

What if I take a bad batch of drugs or am too drunk and act like this in a subway? Is it reasonable for these to be a risk I may be executed by a member if the public for scaring people? I think it's quite a slippery slope myself.

Do I think people should travel the subway unsafe? No.

Do I think murdering hobos is justified for being scared? Also no

I do work with youth that are at risk, mostly trafficked now because that is what we are specialized in.

So I see a ton of shit and deal with a ton of shit. Most of it bothers me what these kids deal with and what they have to go through.

I get a ton of kids who get very belligerent on a daily basis and have to talk them down, other times we have to physically get involved. Learning what they go through, traumatically and mentally, and getting them to go home or to a better place is the goal. Doesn't always happen, shocked I haven't gotten vicarious trauma with what I hear daily that some have gone through.

Choking until someone's life ends in your hands is pretty insane for a civilian to do too, people seem to be giving this guy a vigilante pass bc he has military training. Civilians shouldn't be killing civilians regardless, but if it was a KO and the guy landed bad and died I'd be much more inclined to call this an accident

Oh I get what you are saying with the drug part of, it also could make you got even crazier and if you are attempting to subdue them based upon that and they continue to struggle and fight it coukd be worse. I have also seen people on drugs need the use of a tazers (i used multiple because it took 4 or 5 to stop them from hurting another person).

I have no clue what this guy that was killed had or if he was on anything other than becoming verbally aggressive, towards others and who could become a danger to other you don't know and I don't know. We also don't have all the info because the media in our country sucks, lies and manipulates every story to suite their needs and to sow discourse to all instead of just giving the facts anymore.

I may have spoke to soon also the guy was a former military guy and if he saw service anywhere seeing that coukd have taken him back to war and defending others. My Grandfather was in Korea and everytime he fell asleep and we tried to wake him up he thought he was there and he almost killed my Uncle when he tried to wake him up.

We don't have all the information and I may have spoke out of turn, but if he felt he was helping save others from something that could have looked worse from his POV could be it too, not sure.

American has overly glorified vigilantes their entire history, this is probably one of the more "grey area" ones all things considered and that's sad in it's own right. I mean just look at the Kyle Rittenhouse thing, way more cut and dry than this one IMO. Both found not guilty tho

It's not even just the media, the legal system itself plays into it now too. There's probably more accurate charges that actually depict what happened in this situation than what he was found not guilty of, but if he was charged with boring stuff then it becomes a boring case without people fighting once the ruling is made

Yeah I don't really like this at all but I do have a lot more faith he's gonna be found guilty without controversy (if the guy in custody is actually the guy)

The lesson of the story is don't kill homeless people.

Kill billionaires, they have it coming!

Likely looking for notoriety. Prosecution gonna have a hard time finding a jury to not be sympathetic but ig we will.see. media will do their best to paint him a fringe paranoid lunatic despite him being a valedictorian in hs
