There's also decent republican candidates at the local level here, I didn't mind the ones running here for the most part, just gets bad when they go federal

I just guessed because I’ve heard many younger conservatives who moved out of LA to look for red cities.

They like to live in cities unlike older conservatives. Most of them I hear moved to Nashville. Seems like a burgeoning red city. So I was curious if Dallas was a well known red friendly city, but sounds like Houston just better stop for them progressive types. I can’t blame them. Houston is the city I most think if from Texas.

this is possibly true too, I just haven't heard of much red immigration compared to blue but that's probs just bc of everyone bitching about Austin lol

it doesn't really bother me too much unless there's that air of hypocrisy along with it lol like you feel like they're overcompensating to prove they're liberal
