Wait, you got GOP and Constitutional Party…

Why were you saying later you’re a US Democrat?

I took the UK survey with targeted questions.

Then I took the USA survey with targeted questions, and the results were very different for America. But still the same for the UK. You can't translate policy, but you can understand other nations policies.

It looks like my stances translates well across the aisle.

I even googled every UK specific question I didn’t know.

i love they've included the most niche party ever in the Libertarian Party. More people attend WNBA games than vote for them.
But yeah, the opposition parties having a lower percentage than say my results make sense.

The only issue I have with Smark as a Progressive Conservative would be his policies on business. Teddy Roosevelt fucking hated monopolies and was infamous for breaking up monopolies and trusts.
thats good, but I'd have to point out thats very much a collectivism and left wing policy, at least in theory. in practice, neither sides of the aisle (im america, both here and US) have done a damn thing about anti trusts laws and its a big reason we are in the shit we are today. collectivism needs to reign in individualism, and individualism has to reign in collectivism, as both can be extremely dangerous left to its own device

in fact its my biggest gripe with most mainstream "left of center" parties, they still just cozy up and are corrupted by big business. its why i dont believe in decentralizing and less oversight. we need much more oversight and regulation from arms-length 3rd party civilian institutions and protection laws against whistleblowers. power to the PEOPLE

A 40% swing in the US, is only a 4% swing in the UK.

ideally yes, but in the meantime, actual transparency and steep punishment for politicians would are corrupt who go a long way. banning folks from running in any office once proven guilty of corruption should be high on the agenda of every citizen and voters of every party

removing the financial burden of running for any office should also be removed, political donations should be either outlawed or massively scaled back as well.

I mean I agree with that, but also with the caveat that if politicians are accused of corruption - I do think that an innocent proof should also have a ramification for accusers. To much finger pointing in politics.

oh for sure, I totally see the argument that we don't want politicians to use trumped up corruptions accusations as a way to defeat opponents. ideally you'd want third party investigations that are done by arms length organizations that are bi partisan

but yeah, im still seen as a centrist in both surveys. Right of Center for one and just Left of Center for the other. Not surprising though.
