That was my point the whole time on this issue. Everybody is offering feelings and opinions and it doesn't have anything to do with that when it comes down to it. The Supreme Court did not nullify a right. They reversed a decision.

The sky is not falling. Liberty is not under attack. It needs to be codified by law or a Constitutional Amendment. This is up to the Legislators. Not the Judges.

And yet I've repeatedly told you, if your only issue was making it a law the correct way then this conversation could be productive. But you DONT WANT THEM TO MAKE GAY MARRIAGE LEGAL

I believe I stated a couple of times in here my personal belief is no. Then I said my opinion does not matter. If you go back and read I said I supported Civil Unions with the same benefits as marriage. I did not want to keep repeating myself because that is going to open a whole new can of worms about "Why does it matter what it is called to you?" And I am not getting into it. It is religious beliefs. End of discussion. I have a right to them and I don't have to defend them to anyone.

So I am guess you thinking that an Islamic Jihadi - doesn't need to defend their beliefs before blowing themselves up? I know its an extreme - but hiding behind religious beliefs isn't a thing. It just an excuses my guy.

@Blaze we're at "why does it matter what I believe?" To defend him not wanting gay people to be allowed to marry, I think he's too far gone myself. Kinda worried what other "beliefs" might be down that slippery slope as well

You do realize most people who consider themselves Christians in this country oppose gay marriage don't you?

Are you just learning this? It is a significant number of people in this country and in the world.

also the reason why 'THE GAY' want marriage - is because generally civil unions don't afford the spouse or partner the same rights, securities and benefits that a hetro union get.

A lot of gay - aren't rushing the door to enter a church or holy place - especially not a place filled with resent towards them. Those stories are exceptions to the rule

yes...and I think that's wrong of them to force their beliefs on non-christians in a country with religious freedoms. Now tell me, why are gay civil unions okay according to the Bible but gay marriage is not? I thought the Bible only said gay fucking was wrong
