Let's just call this what it really is. You don't want your opinion questioned or challenged. You want this to be a safe space where you and like minded individuals discuss how much better you are than people with differing opinions.

If anyone dares go against that you endorse insulting them and basically shouting them down until they decide to no longer participate.

That is what is going on in this country at many levels.

We can never find a solution or agreement on issues if we can't discuss and debate in a receptive environment.
