What a fascinating country. A lot of people there care more about what is basically a tadpole that hasn't grown yet than their own children who get shot in schools with assault rifles every now and then.
It's funny how a country can be at war with Islamism and extreme religious groups yet they let religion get in the way of their own politics.

Just to show that I wasn't just pulling the Obergefell v. Hodges comment out of nowhere trying to hurt feelings, here is a story as to why it pertains very much to overriding Roe v. Wade.

Abortion no longer is a federal right with Roe v. Wade overturned. Supreme Court Justice Thomas now is eyeing cases related to gay rights and birth control.

I just love - that I have been inside a Catholic church at least a hundred times with various elder family members and just as child - and a priest has not once ever - taught anything about homosexuality.

I wasn't exactly cheering for it to happen. I was saying it should be overturned because it is not the Supreme Court's job to legislate.

They should not be making things legal or illegal. They should be ruling on the constitutional legality of laws created by Congress.

The big difference between Loving v. Virginia and Obergefell v. Hodges was that a state or states made laws banning interracial marriage. They did not make laws banning same sex marriages.

So the Supreme Court ruled that the law violated the 14th Amendment pertaining to Loving v. Virginia.

Again, the Supreme Court should not be legislating. That is not their function.
