So this might be a horribly extreme take but it's currently 3:30 in the morning, and my mind is all over the place, so let's proceed to come out with one of the most horrible posts I can ever muster while being more or less dead serious.
As an aside, there's a horrible side of reality that I don't any of these pro-choice people really understand is that the American Foster Home System is on par to indentured slavery to those poor children. Imagine being thrown into foster care to home that doesn't give an absolute shit about you as a person and is only used as a government stipend. You are neglected, or even abused, and there is zero way to escape from it until you can manifest your own independence legally by age 16, and what are you left with? You are a fucking husk of a human being who has not been made equipped to deal with society. Your emotional maturity has been permanently stunted, you likely will be unable go pursue higher education nor well paying employment, and with a possible history of child abuse, you are more prone go turning to crime.
The idea that the foster home system is good because a visual minority of those in the system end up nominally normal is fucked up beyond belief.
Let's call what the foster system what it is. It's a Russian roulette board with a minimal chance of a positive outcome. You are more than likely never going to a home, or if you even make it to a home, will be essentially held prisoner for profit.
And the overturn of Roe vs. Wade is only going to exacerbate the problem while the government sits on its hands and does nothing to solve it, as it hasn't since the fucking 80s.
I'd rather hundreds of thousands of unborn fetuses be removed from the host body than be subjected to a life like that. Call it callous, call it an objectively horrifying opinion, but I call this a fucking sobering reality that I would rather have never existed at all than be placed in the American foster system on the off chance I end up in a "good" home.
There's 400,000 children in foster care approximately within the United States. You think we really need to fucking add onto that?
