I think the language needs to be tidyied up to eliminate all the vagueness the article is talking about and some of the provisions should be eliminated altogether, but there is some good ideas potentially in there. You should see some of the stuff teachers on TikTok are claiming they teach their first and second grade classrooms and it’s like what and why?

I agree about the vague article writing. This is how the news media outlets work. They sensationalize topics to get views and clicks. Then most people just read the title or a small clip of an article. Truth isn't as sexy as an inflated story.

If everyone read the damn bill, they would see that it eliminates "All Sex" discussion to children 5-8. Don't worry you still get sex Ed at the right age folks.

I meant the bill itself has some vagueness in it’s writing but yeah I agree they really doesn’t need to be teaching sex of any kind to eight-year-olds.

I'd wager (again without reading) that I'd even agree with the bill if it applied to straight parents too bc raising your kid assuming a sexuality before age 8 is weird as fuck, you can't talk to a girl without someone on your family going oh is that your girlfriend like the fuck? Your kid is 6

The vagueness needs to be eliminated from the bill 100% but I don’t really think it’s an either side issue. The Bill basically just wants teachers to teach whatever it is they’re supposed to be teaching math history science whatever and leave the sex ed to when the kids actually get to sex ed. Sixth grade I think?
