I have zero desire to really get into it much, but I’ve seen the Ahmaud case mentioned once or twice on social media in the last last two weeks, but seen something about Kyle Rittenhouse every five minutes.

That being said, I hope they get the book. And I don’t think anyone really disagrees with that sentiment.

Tbh it all comes down to who you follow as well, or friends with or whatever social media it’s on. This isn’t me trying to get into it with you, or bring you into it, so sorry in advance for replying. I’m just wanting to point it out. Because like I said I rarely see anything about either case(nothing all all about Ahmaud to be fair, and Chris said it’s all over his.) because I just don’t follow people who talk about that mess.

I will say I’m on Facebook more. I’m sure Twitter is more up on it and I probably don’t follow the right people.

Yeah. Just googled it. Don’t remember ANYTHING about that. But guess maybe it’s because no one from my timeline is defending the people? I don’t know. My one Aunt could. But she’s annoying as fuck so I muted her off my timeline on Facebook.

Without getting into the conspiracy theory too much, part of me thinks Kyle dominated the news cycle since it causes more division as there’s really only only hardcore radicals that are sticking up for Ahmaud’s killers. It was pretty clearly cut and dry on that one.

100% agree with this, also why I think some of the more one-sided killings of black folk haven't been as publicized either bc they couldn't paint it as easily for both sides to jump on their bandwagon

I mostly remember it being very publicized once the video first came out and then I'll agree it's died down once the legal proceedings actually started. Which it felt like happened for the Rittenhouse thing too to me, I didn't actually hear about how that trial was going into like a day before the ruling but apparently I'm in the minority there

It could very well be, and I wouldn’t even argue against it. I’ve made it clear for years, even before “fake news.” Was said how much I hate the media.

I see you and me both follow all the right people to follow Like legit the only person I saw mention anything at all during the trial was someone on his side, and that was an old family friend on Facebook.

And when I say this I mean both sides too. Since the left controls more news channels, they could easily cover them as much too, but it feels like they only cover the ones they know will rile up the right wing.

And vice versa. Fox News and co only cater the stories they can defend from the “left” news etc.

I just hope again they get found guilty.

Yeah exactly, basically if it's what most people would consider "justified" it gets buried bc the left wouldn't be up in arms, if it's a pretty black and white unjustified killing then it gets buried bc the right can't defend it as well. If it's a layered case with a lot of factors they can latch onto then that gets reported to the moon bc it gets all dem ratings
