I kinda dont like it, because I mean like its not gonna make me hate the Mets or Phillies any less. So I'll hate not having them as rivals liks that.

But at the same time. Holy shit that looks like a cake walk division for the Braves. Braves would still be behind this season though so who knows.

and that's a water walk for the Yankees. The Yankees aren't Jesus so that'd be a problem.

This configuration would probably use a similar schedule structure as NFL. Play your own division most, play the rest of your league at least once, then play one division in the other league once. It would help with All Star and World Series as you'll get the matchups you most likely won't get during the season. I would also shorten the season back to 145 games (or whatever number works mathematically with 8 4 team divisions).

Also I wonder how they do playoffs. each division winner and 4 Wildcards?

Report: Apple drops MLB, NBC/Peacock in, ESPN to buy MLB.tv, Netflix nabs Home Run Derby

MLB is reportedly closing in on its new media rights deals that will see Apple drop its package, NBC get one, and ESPN buy MLB.tv.

So reports are saying Friday Night Apple goes away, NBC/Peacock picks up Friday Night Baseball as well as Sunday Night Baseball (and Wildcard games). ESPN buys MLB.TV (if that gets included with the $29.99 package holy fuck that becomes a good deal). Netflix gets the Home Run Derby.

I like all these moves if they're true.

I don't know. I think there's a chance to get new fans especially younger ones who aren't entrenched with the Braves. Obviously the old guard aren't leaving the Braves.

Yeah the younger ones, might be easy to get. Depends how young and how loyal. Like it's something that would be a growing pain obviously. Like they still old fucks up in Boston who like the Braves.

It's weird. There were VERY few Dodger/Giant fans in New York after they fucked off back in 1956. New Yorkers were pissed AF about that shit and swore off them. Gave up on baseball completely with a FEW going to the Yankees. until the Mets came around in 62.

I'm not a fan of having 4 teams in each division. I would strongly prefer 8 teams in 4 divisions. I accept that they're not contracting the playoffs, but with enough teams in each division, the winners will have earned a playoff spot; none of them can be that weak.

Like the only reason I even know, my girl mentioned her dad still LOVES the Braves and he lives around that area. So I just assume probably some others still do also.

Never had I wanted this Phillies Team to win the World Series than this Year. Wheeler is done for the Season because of the Blood Clot that turned into Venous Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. The Phils have been playing really well lately and hopefully they can turn this into something great.
