Though the season's lost for the Braves, they managed to win 8 of their last 10 games, and riding on a five-game winning streak. I just wish it came sooner than later in the season.

Speaking of winning streaks, the Reds ended the Brewers' 14-game winning streak in extra innings last night, as Trevino's single to the right extended the game and Hays single to the left to score the needed single run and beat the Brewers 3-2.

Phils' Wheeler undergoes surgery; timeline unclear

Philadelphia Phillies ace Zack Wheeler had surgery Monday to remove a blood clot in his upper right arm, and the team says a timeline for his recovery remains uncertain.

PHILADELPHIA -- Phillies ace Zack Wheeler had surgery Monday to remove a blood clot in his upper right arm, and the team said a timeline for his recovery remains uncertain.

The Phillies said Wheeler underwent a thrombolysis procedure by Dr. Paul DiMuzio at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Wheeler, 35, was placed on the 15-day injured list Saturday with a blood clot after experiencing worsening shoulder soreness.

In 24 starts this season, Wheeler is 10-5 with a 2.71 ERA and an MLB-high 195 strikeouts across 149⅔ innings. The right-hander, who made his third All-Star team last month, threw at least 192 innings in three of the previous four seasons.

Bummer for Wheeler and the Phils to lose their ace for the time being with a blood clot. Hopefully he'll return on time for the MLB Playoffs when they really need him.

I don't super hate this, but I would get rid of the AL and NL names. Use East and west conferences or name the leagues after legendary players from those conferences.

Babe Ruth Conference and Ernie Banks Conference. I miss when the NHL named their divisions after the old people.

I kinda dont like it, because I mean like its not gonna make me hate the Mets or Phillies any less. So I'll hate not having them as rivals liks that.

But at the same time. Holy shit that looks like a cake walk division for the Braves. Braves would still be behind this season though so who knows.
