I can’t believe the Braves are paying Ozuna $16,000,000 this season (total of his contract is $65,000,000 ending over 4 years ending in 2025) and this man has been up to bat 40 times, with only 3 hits. Ridiculous.

Braves lost today, but still one of the best teams in MLB right now. Definitely think they go 100 plus wins.

Oakland is officially moving to Las Vegas by 2027. Very mixed feelings. On one hand, it sucks for Oakland sports fans to lose EVERY team they have there, but they NEED a new ballpark considering the Oakland Coliseum is a literal deathtrap with shit plumbing, rotting supports, and wild animals in broadcasting booths. And to invest in a new ballpark in the city is a VERY hard sell for Oakland City Council and I don't blame them with their economic hurdles. Not a guaranteed investment. They will build a One Billion dollar ballpark (hopefully domed or with a retractable roof. In the desert, yikes) and I hope it can be a good get for Las Vegas.

Oakland's Triple A in Vegas team leads the Pacific coast league in attendance each year since their new park opened up, so it might be a good market. The Golden Knights are a good example of how sports can work in Vegas with a good team on the ice, great branding, and they built a solid connection to the city. (Came in at a time Vegas needed. Had a shooting weeks before the season, the city rallied around their team). But still. I feel for Oakland. End of an era.

The Braves stunk it up being swept by the Astros over the weekend, now at 14-8. That's pitiful.
