They're in markets that actually worked for both leagues. The Jersey team for the USFL was unable to even play in Jersey (they played in Michigan). The Jersey XFL2.0 team failed miserably. Same for California.

Go to football hotbeds, not media markets. I'ma rep my St. Louis BattleHawks again. Awesome name and a former Jet as the Head Coach.

Add Philly to that pissed as hell especially since they were in the Championship Game in 2022. No reason for me to keep watching this new Merger League till they get a Team in the future. You even have All Time Records for Passing Touchdowns, Sack, and INT from the Stars. See ya till then.

The philly team literally never played in Philly. No way in hell they were keeping it. They played their home games in Detroit. Same with the Jersey team.

Put a team in these markets and fail cause you can't afford it, or do you put them in hotbeds like St. Louis that regularly put 30K+ in their stadium?

Duh I know that but the lone team representing the East Coast is DC where that fanbase doesn't compare and is non existent to say it nicely when it comes to sports compared to the other places they could of chosen. 3 Teams representing Texas where the Cowboys rule the State when they should of only of had 1 leaving some chances for some other Teams I feel to get in. At the end of the day I don't have a dog in the fight anymore but still hoping maybe in a Year or 2 the Teams grow to 10 or 12.

Yeah am I thrilled that there's no New York/New Jersey team? Hell no. But there shouldn't be because nobody gave a shit about either league in New York/New Jersey.

It the league is too succeed it needs to be profitable. Playing in markets that won't support it will not make it profitable. Simple as that. Maybe if the league is successful they'll expand and include major markets.

Hell I’m not sure who I’m gonna cheer for. My USFL team and my XFL team both are here lol. Which is Birmingham and Houston
