NHL just needs to cut their losses and leave Arizona and bring back the Nordiques. Hell, you'd get more sell outs in the Maritime provinces than you would anywhere else.

If the Maritimes were more densely populated and we'd have a stronger economy, I'd consider it. This is coming from a Moncton girl who has an arena in this city larger than Arizona's. But while the Wildcats get decent crowds, we don't sell out all the time, especially since the Avenir Center is downtown and our transit system isn't the greatest.

Halifax would be the best bet since Nova Scotia is nearing One million population, but because Halifax is a port city, most potential fans from New Brunswick and PEI are unlikely to drive there often enough.

I think if the Yotes move, the best two options are Quebec City and Houston

And Houston is in the same division, a very large city, sports town with SOME hockey history, NHL ready arena in the Toyota Center

Yeah, Arizona is a lost cause. The effort theyve put into fighting against them moving is insane, the fact the other nhl owners are okay with this even though it actually does cut in their overall revenue is pretty sad to.

The last thing the NHL would need are two Texas hockey venues, especially considering that California has way too many as well. Anaheim, San Jose, LA Kings.

St. Louis also already has the market so Kansas City could potentially cause issues.

Honestly, Quebec would probably be the best spot for the franchise. Bring back the Nordiques name, or possibly another name.

I actually don't have any idea how popular hockey is within the region, but you could even put a team in Louisville, it's got a nice location between Cincinnati and Indianapolis for hockey fans there, as well as far enough away from Nashville to not be an issue.
