I keep getting notifications that the Lions are in the red zone...
Tennessee, you guys ok?
I knew before the season started that we were going to be in trouble even with the guys we brought in. Sneed, Pollard, Ridley, and others I knew that we were going to have it rough just cause Levis wasn't the answer and was never going to be the answer at QB. I get that we had to move on from Vrabel and Henry just because we knew our window was closed. I will die on the hill that The Titans would have won the Superbowl a couple of years ago but Tannehill screwed us over against The Bengals. So once that window closed and brought in Callahan who I don't even know is ready for a Head Coaching gig. So basically I gave up on this season before it even started.
The only bright spot is Pollard, and the defense that's really about it. There's absolutely nothing to get excited about. I knew before kickoff that the Titans were getting blown out. This team, on paper, doesn't look too bad, but they can't execute. Special teams are horrible, The Offense is even worse and stuck to throwing nothing but short yardage, cause we have NOBODY who can throw the ball. In this NFL league, the way it is if you can't move the ball just go ahead and throw in the towel and get ready for a top 10 pick. That's the most frustrating part of the Titans. We suck but never suck enough to get a top pick. So hopefully this year we can tank successfully and get a top pick. I just want somebody besides Levis. I am a Vols fan, so I was already trashing the pick when he got drafted in the first place. I guess the only positive is in that draft class nobody besides CJ has shined. Hooker hasn't played so who knows how he will be but the others are either benched already or tapping out of games.
The offense is a complete joke. You can tell the coach and OC don't trust the QBs at all. Who can blame them? Levis is a complete BUST and just a walking meme at this point. Mason was never going to be the answer and was just there. Willis got done dirty by the organization cause Vrabel didn't want him and it showed when he never really gave Willis a chance to learn the position. Tannehill didn't help by saying he wouldn't teach his backup and have to learn on his own. We saw how that worked. Tannehill is out of the league and Willis is playing in GB.
All in all just another season for my Titans. At least it wasn't as bad as the loss to the Pats years ago. So it's nothing that I haven't seen before and went through being a fan of this team. What's surprising we still have a top defense in the league according to stats even though we gave up a bunch of points to the Lions we didn't give up a ton of yards even though the score says differently. We only gave up 225 yards to the Lions but the special teams was a joke that game just like it has been all season.
Yep, but hopefully this year it's enough to get a top pick.
