Ultimately I do think the era of power runningbacks has been over for about 10 years or so. Especially with the game moving towards passing more, teams are moving more towards lanky, speedy, and agile backs that can catch the ball both out of the backfield and in the short passing game. Perhaps when rule changes permit in the future, we'll see a return to a more power-back-centric game (I.E. loosening of rules on Pass Interference and certain penalties).

Dolphins just cut Byron Jones. Sad news after the tweet he sent out last week about his physical ailments. I really can't see any team really looking his way.

I would say I'm 60/40 that Lamar doesn't come back to the Ravens after this upcoming Season especially if the franchise doesn't get him help on Offense.

Hurts should get at least 50. The QB market is crazy.

I can't really blame Derek Carr for a lot of the failures of the Raiders since he was drafted. Multiple up and down seasons which partially falls on him but the coaching carousel this team has had, years of awful drafts and a mostly abysmal defense didn't help. The Saints are paying a lot for basically a bridge QB at this point but he'll be a decent one for them.

From, a perpetually disappointed Raiders fan.

The entire Daniel Jones scenario really, REALLY reminds me of the Blake Bortles scenario. The club wasn't sure on him, he had a hot year, made a decent playoff run and then got a contract the next season and then just sucked. I really feel like history is going to repeat itself.

Ok here’s a question….what other options did they have? Jimmy G? Jameis? They need to trade for a WR so they don’t have the capital to trade up in the draft. The contract is only half guaranteed and has options after years two. Also Jones is way more mobile and has a much better coach then Bortles had.

That's what the Jags thought too, that's why they signed Bortles. What other option did they have? There are always other options despite anything. I think the Giants have a great coach, but I have zero faith in Jones doing anything more than what he did this season. Giving jones that contract doesn't help the rest of the offense getting weapons. I just think it's a bad contract despite what else is out there. They're not going to win anymore than they did last year with him so what is the point of giving him a big ass contract.

It’s two years with options, that’s nothing. As an actual Giants fan here I’m fine with it. I think with actual wide receivers he’ll be much better. I’d even put money on it. @Cwalker how do you feel?

2 years with options I can live with. When I saw the initial dollar amount that he wanted, I said GTFOH. But he was efficient last year.

Hodges has a chance to break out; hopefully we get a receiver late in the first. And he can build on a solid year.

I got to say, I’m very surprised we kept both him and Saquon. I honestly didn’t see that happening.

Giants are in a good position; don't think anyone thought they get both back. I would love to see them land a DeAndre Hopkins. I think they are gonna sign Jacobi Meyers too

I think their is a good chance they get Nuk or another WR via trade.
