His wording may have been off a tad but he’s not that old. He def doesn’t think he’s on the backside of his career.

I didn't really like his words about Willis as well. Tannehill's the starting quarterback and when the Titans draft Willis, he must mentor him, showing him the ropes, giving him some pointers in order to succeed in the NFL. Any quarterback should mentor a rookie quarterback, so that quarterback would be ready for anything that lies ahead of him. Tannehill don't seem to think that. Be a fucking man and mentor Willis.
Pretty much every starter has said the same thing when a team drafts a young QB. It’s not their job to prepare their replacement. He CAN teach Willis but he’s not obligated.

He's 33 highest cap hit for a QB in NFL this year you have to thought they were gonna start looking for the future. I mean besides if he's not comfortable enough to know that Willis isn't playing this year anyway and your already worry that is telling in itself

Zero QB should ever be obligated to mentor another QB. That's what the QB coach is for.

There's a difference between obliged and saying the shit out to the media the QB suppose to be usually the leader of the team and his job should be to set and example to the team. What does it say to the rest of the team with that stuff usually disfunction which could be put on Vrabel tbf. Rodgers pull the same shit last too. Idk lol I just sense some fear and desperation coming from him and from the organization feels like there's a dumpster fire brewing

OMB, you take way too much stock in your own beliefs. Tannehill can say whatever he wants and he's absolutely right that he's not supposed to mentor people. In what way is he causing dysfunction or locker room drama by stating the obvious?

People wanting to compare this to guys like Antonio Brown or Terrell Owens don't understand why they're vilified the way they are.

Simply stating an obvious truth is not going to hurt anyone.

Anyway I was just having a simple conversation with Booty we both have our opinions on it and should be allowed to think either way and I can see where he is coming from there

I'll take back what I said about Tannehill being a mentor to Willis. There's no fucking mentors in the NFL. It's about competition and Tannehill knows goddamn well that his starting job is on the line. I'm sorry that he had a shitty time getting over himself after that Bengals loss, shit happens.

I mean in my opinion yeah it's not his job to get the young gun ready but geez I hope it's not the case that if Willis comes up to him he just ignores him if he asks advice being the younger player. Time is not on Tannehill's side Willis will eventually take his spot it happens to every quality QB and a guy with tons of potential comes in gets drafted. I would give the guy Tannehill two Years though because you gave us your number 1 option in AJ Brown and you can't expect it not to effect your Offense this Season. Give the guy this Season and next and see where it goes.
