I mean alot of teams will call them up including our two teams. The Panthers already invested money and picks in Darnold to go and do that again when the team isn't going anywhere meh. If it's Draft Picks they want the Eagles have 3 1st Round Picks and if they want a QB back who is young and can groom Hurts is a better option than Darnold I feel. Bias though if he does go there I don't see him putting them over it's the Falcons Division to win I feel this Season. The Dolphins might want to still get him as well.

I’m so sick of Darnold. I’d take Famous Jameis Winston as a consolation prize.

Jameis played well last season before he suffered a torn ACL and MCL. But it's likely that the Panthers are drafting a quarterback in the first round in the Draft unless I'm wrong. If they don't end up taking one, I would sign take a gamble on Jameis, as long as he can stay healthy and consistent.

@Kairi HoHo Your center Jason Kelce's now the highest paid center in the NFL:

Source: Philadelphia Eagles make Jason Kelce highest-paid center in NFL with new $14 million deal

ESPN

PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia Eagles and Jason Kelce have agreed to a new $14 million contract, a source confirmed, making him the highest-paid center in the league.

Kelce, who had been mulling retirement, announced on Thursday that he would be returning for his 12th NFL season.

The NFL Network was first to report the deal.

The contract is structured similarly to the $9 million deal he signed last year, sources said, functioning as a one-year deal but with money spread over multiple years for cap purposes.

The Eagles did everything they could to incentivize Kelce, who has pondered retirement over the past several offseasons, to play another year. Coach Nick Sirianni even sent a keg of beer to Kelce's home to butter him up. In a video posted on social media Thursday, Kelce took a long swig from a beer poured out of that keg before announcing his return, saying he's having "way too much fun" to step away.

Kelce, 34, continues to play at a high level. He was named first-team All-Pro for the fourth time in his career in 2021 while making his fifth Pro Bowl. He ranked seventh in pass block win rate (95.7%) and fourth in run block win rate (72.2%) among centers in 2021, per ESPN metrics powered by NFL Next Gen Stats.

Las Vegas Raiders lock up DE Maxx Crosby with four-year, $95M extension

ESPN

HENDERSON, Nev. -- Two years to the day after Maxx Crosby checked himself into a rehab facility for alcoholism, the Las Vegas Raiders' Pro Bowl defensive end agreed to a multiyear extension with the team on Friday.

It is a four-year, $98.98 million deal with $95 million in new money and $53 million guaranteed, according to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.

"I want to be of service to other people going through whatever they're going through right now," Crosby said Friday. "It's crazy. My fiancée sent me a picture [of myself from] two years ago today ... the look on my face and how much different I looked, I didn't even recognize that person. But just two years later, I have the ability to not only take care of myself forever, but my kids and my dogs.

"I came from a tough situation, but I just want to show people there that anything's possible if you put your mind to it."

Crosby, 24, was drafted by the Raiders in the fourth round of the 2019 draft (No. 106 overall) out of Eastern Michigan. The 6-foot-5, 255-pound Crosby had 10 sacks as a rookie, followed that up with seven more in 2020 and was named to his first Pro Bowl after racking up eight sacks last season, when Pro Football Focus had him leading the NFL with 100 pressures, the third most in a single season since 2006, behind T.J. Watt's 119 pressures in 2014 and Aaron Donald's 106 pressures in 2018. Crosby was then named the Pro Bowl's defensive MVP after batting down three passes and getting a sack.

Locking up an edge rusher before the quarterback is a reversal of form from what the Raiders did in 2017, when Derek Carr was signed to a five-year, $125 million extension and the team expected Khalil Mack to play out the final year of his contract in 2018. Mack instead held out and was traded to the Chicago Bears before that season. Now, Carr is entering the final year of his deal and new coach Josh McDaniels, while saying Carr is his starter, acknowledged at the combine that no extension talks with the quarterback had taken place.

"Maxx Crosby exemplifies the characteristics of a Raider," McDaniels said in a statement. "His work ethic and leadership are unmatched and we're thrilled that he will continue to be an important part of this organization for years to come. It's an exciting day for Maxx and for the Raider Nation."

Crosby, whose 25 sacks are tied for fourth most in franchise history for a player in his first three seasons and who is one of 11 players in the league with at least seven sacks in each of the past three years, said extension talks and the process happened "pretty fast" with the Raiders' new regime.

"They wanted to get it done fast, we wanted to get it done fast, but it had to be right at the same time," Crosby said. "[General manager] Dave Ziegler and coach McDaniels, they showed their commitment to me right away and they didn't want to play any games. They told me everything you want to hear as a player with new coaches coming in. They were awesome, super positive, and not only showed me the good things about me but the things they want me to improve on.

"It was stressful but it was also exciting."

Crosby has 141 tackles (91 solo), 12 passes defensed, four forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in his career. He has been an edge rusher in the Raiders' traditional 4-3 alignment, but new defensive coordinator Patrick Graham, who has run schemes with 3-4 sensibilities, insists he will adapt to his players' skills.

Graham and Crosby initially met during a pre-draft visit in 2019, when Graham was with the Miami Dolphins.

"Just looking at Maxx, obviously he's long, great motor, I mean, it's a lot of stuff to work with there," Graham said.

"I'm just excited because the times I've been around him, he seems like great energy. I'm a firm believer that when you're at practice, when the big, long guys are running around the field with great energy, it kind of energizes the whole team. When you feel those big guys running by you and stuff and they're talking, they have great energy. And I've had that in my past and I think that's a positive. That's definitely a positive."

And with his payday and two-year anniversary, Crosby said he was not satisfied.

"Goals? I want to be a Hall of Famer," he said. "You don't get to the Hall of Fame with one Pro Bowl and one All-Pro. I want to keep doing it, keep getting better.

"Two years ago, mentally I was in a very bad place. Physically, I wasn't in a good place and I really had to reevaluate everything that I had going on. One of the main things of A.A. and the 12 Steps is not looking too far in the future and not looking too far in the past, worry about the 24 hours and taking it one day at a time. A lot of people think it's cliché and corny ... but it's only two years. I've got so many years ahead of me, not only in the league but as a human being. So, I just want to continue to get better as a man and as a player every single day."

Kudos to Crosby for leaving his alcoholism behind to become a better person and player in life. His 2021 campaign was easily his best, with passes deflected (7), quarterback hits (30) as well as 8 sacks, making it 25 total for the three seasons he's played in the NFL. He deserved a bigger contract.

I don't expect Watson to stay in the AFC South. If I am Pittsburgh or Cleveland I try and make a move for Watson. Smaller markets to help keep him out of trouble hopefully. Pittsburgh gets a franchise QB, Watson gets a decent defense and the ability to learn from Flores and Tomlin. Cleveland gets to move on from Baker.

A surprise move though that I would do is I would see if I could trade Matt Ryan and some pieces for Watson to get him to Atlanta. Falcons are going to need to go QB shopping in the next two years anyway and they are already in year two of a new coach so why not rebuild around a franchise QB and a newer coach?

I need to re-iterate and stress this extremely: Not Guilty does not mean Innocent. It doesn't even mean "He didn't do it".

It is this: "The Grand Jury has not found enough evidence for Deshaun Watson to be found guilty."
All I ask is you to have the sane fervor when Gable Steveson debuts

I love Kelce for sure one of the toughest guys to play on the Offensive for my Eagles. 14 Million for a Year that is alot of monies for a guy possibly retiring and has been talking about it for the last two or three Seasons now. Still Kelce still there at Center gives me more confidence than the Eagles need to fill in a guy if Dickerson has to take his spot in a Year or two.

Wow I thought for a guy who to me is a Top 20 WR would get higher than that when it comes to picks. The Cowboys Offense will go backwards majorly this upcoming Season this pleases me.

The Browns got Cooper cheap, only costing them 5th and 6th round picks to get him. That fills the void for the needed wide receiver spot after OBJ was released in the middle of the 2021 season. And Cooper's still very young in the league. He'll be a big help for that offense, playing with Baker, Jarvis Landry, Austin Hooper and Rashard Higgins (if he's resigned).

Jarvis why?? Cooper and yourself is better than OBJ and Jarvis oh well let's see who bites on him beware he wasn't healthy last Season and I would be hesitate to give high picks for him. If Cooper got a 5th and Pick, then someone should just bite for a 5-7th for him. My Eagles need a veteran WR I said we need that while drafting another WR in the Draft.
