Ah ha the plots thickens..

Why do you need help letting him go unless theirs some mental help AB needs right now and if that is the case then I can understand. Why do I see AB getting suspended for a Week and seeing where it goes. If you wanted to put your foot down you release him today.

HENDERSON, Nev. -- Las Vegas Raiders rookie cornerback Nate Hobbs was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of DUI early Monday morning, hours after the team returned from a last-second victory at the Indianapolis Colts that kept its playoff hopes alive.

The arrest of Hobbs, 22, comes two months and one day after receiver Henry Ruggs III was involved in a fiery high-speed car crash that claimed the life of a 23-year-old woman and her dog and has Ruggs facing up to 50 years in prison on felony DUI and reckless driving charges. It also comes one day shy of a year from when running back Josh Jacobs was arrested on a DUI charge after a single-vehicle collision near the airport in Las Vegas.

According to a news release from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, "at approximately 4:09 a.m., LVMPD Dispatch received a call reference a driver asleep inside of a vehicle, which was parked on the exit ramp of a parking garage located in the 3500 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard. Arriving officers made contact with the driver, identified as 22-year-old Nathan Hobbs. He was given FST's (field sobriety test) by patrol and failed. He was transported to the Clark County Detention Center where he was booked for DUI (misdemeanor)."

The Raiders put out a statement saying they were "aware" of the incident.

"The organization has been in communication with local law enforcement and is in the process of gathering more information," the statement read. "We will have no further comment at this time."

Raiders interim coach Rich Bisaccia, meanwhile, was asked in his weekly media conference if alcohol and decision-making had been a point of emphasis to the team, given the recent history.

"I feel good about saying they've been hit over the face with distractions and things of that nature," said a frustrated Bisaccia. "We're very cognizant of the city in which we live in, so I'll leave it at that and we'll see what it looks like at the end of the week."

Hobbs, a fifth-round draft pick from Illinois, has been a revelation for the Raiders as a nickel cornerback and is a candidate for many all-rookie teams with an interception, two passes defended, a forced fumble and a sack among his 67 tackles, which ranks fourth on the team, in 15 games.

The Raiders (9-7) clinched their first winning season since 2016, their second since 2002, with the 23-20 win at the Colts and host the Los Angeles Chargers (9-7) on Sunday night at Allegiant Stadium. They can clinch their second playoff berth since 2002 with a win over the Chargers, but can also back in with a loss if the Colts lose at the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Pittsburgh Steelers lose either against the Cleveland Browns on Monday night or against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Strangely, both the Raiders and Chargers could get in with a tie, provided the Colts lose at Jacksonville.

Bisaccia was also asked how the Raiders might not let the Hobbs situation be a distraction given how the team has already dealt with the sudden early-season resignation of coach Jon Gruden in the wake of his email scandal, the Ruggs wreck and cornerback Damon Arnette being cut after video of him making death threats while brandishing firearms went viral.

"As far as the distractions go, we've kind of learned how to deal with distractions around here," Bisaccia said. "We're certainly disappointed in the news. I don't have all the facts yet. I'll be able to comment, I would think, as the end of the week comes, when I get more information about what's going to actually happen with that."

Geez. I thought somebody like Nate Hobbs would learn from what happened to Henry Ruggs and Josh Jacobs last season, when both players were charged with DUI.

Interesting comments by AB clearly Arians knew he was dealing with problems with his Ankle and he wanted him out there to win another SB. I've never liked Arians he gives me douchebag vibes to me and this side of AB's story sounds believable to me. Antonio Brown accused the Bucs of engaging in an “ongoing cover-up hello if true which will be hard to say yeah they did it because you know Coach will say bs as well as the Medical Staff but hello Roger Goodell on Line 1.

They both told their sides of the story, it's tough to know who's right and who's wrong. Is AB's just making excuses like always, or is Arians and the organization's are complete assholes for making him play in excruciating pain? Either way, I think both parties came out in the wrong, painting a bad picture for the organization. Arians shouldn't have jumped the gun on AB by cut him in the middle of a game, after he pleaded to not go out there and further injuring himself. AB should have been more professional to not embarrass himself by taking off his shoulder pads and gloves and threw them in anger. This should have been resolved better.

Add former Houston Texans coach Bill O'Brien to the extensive list of potential hires for the Jacksonville Jaguars' head coaching vacancy. The club plans to interview O'Brien, now the offensive coordinator at Alabama, next week following the Crimson Tide's appearance in Monday's College Football Playoff national championship game, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

The Florida Times-Union's John Reid first reported the timing for the interview.

The Jaguars also have requested permission to interview at least half a dozen NFL coordinators, as well as former Eagles head coach Doug Pederson and former Lions head coach Jim Caldwell. Pederson was the Jaguars' first interview, per Rapoport. Jacksonville will interview Cowboys OC Kellen Moore and Buccaneers OC Byron Leftwich virtually on Friday, Rapoport and NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported.

The team fired first-year coach Urban Meyer midseason amid a tumultuous combination of on-and-off-field embarrassments and losing football. The Jaguars (2-14) close the season Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts under interim coach Darrell Bevell. Among the crucial tasks for the Jaguars' next coach will be kickstarting the development of rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence, the No. 1 overall pick of the 2021 draft whose progress has stagnated behind a porous offensive line and in the absence of prolific receiving threats.

After six-plus seasons as coach of the Texans, for the last of which he also served as general manager, O'Brien was fired following an 0-4 start in 2020. He compiled a 52-48 record with four AFC South titles in Houston. However, he was heavily criticized for a trade that sent star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals; strain in his relationship with Texans executive vice president of football operations Jack Easterby played a role in his ouster, as well.

O'Brien has coordinated a prolific Alabama offense this season behind first-year starting quarterback Bryce Young, who won the Heisman Trophy. UA has averaged 41.4 points and 495 yards per game. The Crimson Tide faces Georgia for the national championship Monday night in a rematch of the Southeastern Conference Championship Game, which Alabama won, 41-24.

Bill O'Brien should never be allowed to coach in the NFL again, after he ran the Texans into the ground with his God-awful decision-making. He should stick to coaching in college football.

He’s stated he doesn’t want any personnel decisions

Okay, I give him that. As long as he only coaches the game, I can be fine with that.

Peterson would be perfect for the Jags job. He gets another chance at a top pick QB learning his way and he helped the Eagles win their first SB so that cache alone should have him above else in my mind.

Pederson would be the best hire for the team.

Kinda saw that coming.

I was praying Joe Judge would get fired but that doesn’t seem to be in the cards.

Thank God this dumpster fire of a season is almost over

The Titans must beat the Texans to get the #1 seed in the AFC, now that the Chiefs have it after their victory last night.

Let's do this guys!
