So, some more SVG rumblings from some media he's done this week. He told Bob Pockrass that he wants to "pay his dues" when coming to NASCAR, implying that he's not looking to jump straight into a Cup car because he respects the sport more than that. He's running the truck race tonight, and there are some rumblings that we may see him in the Niese Racing truck full time next year (the one that Chastain runs sometimes, they have a partnership with Trackhouse). This would allow him to run a handful of Cup races each year while learning how to race on an oval. It would also help Trackhouse stall a bit while NASCAR figures out what the new media deal means for the charter system.

Reportedly, some owners aren't in favor of the charter system, as it's being reported that charters can cost up to (wait for it) $30 MILLION! Teams like Hendrick, SHR and Gibbs who have the most allowable cars on the track don't mind it, but other teams (Penske, RFK, Trackhouse, 23XI) aren't in favor because they can't form another fulltime team without the charter.

Literally 2 minutes after I posted that, Adam Stern reports that Trackhouse is finalizing a deal with SVG to bring him to NASCAR full time next year. Seeing as Trackhouse doesn't have a Truck or Xfinity team, it's assumed that Trackhouse as acquired a third charter and will be running the 91 car on a full time basis.
