I’m personally a proponent of “race til you can’t.” But apparently there’s rain outside the track, and that’s enough to park em now.

Interesting note. McDowell, who was going to run out of gas, is now 3 points above the playoff cut line, moving Bubba Wallace to 3 points below it.

Ill say this... I don't think that Atlanta is as bad as some of us feared. By "us" I mean, those in the overall NASCAR community who wasn't big on what they changed on the Atlanta track. Including me because I wasn't feeling positive about it. Had some good racing this weekend. Unfortunately weather got involved. Sucks because this was Harvicks last Atlanta race. Would have liked to see him get a good finish, even though he hasn't been as good on this new configuration.

I feel like as the "new" Atlanta has aged, it's gotten better. Pretty solid chance I try to get tickets to the Atlanta night race next year. I've never been to the track, and after this weekend (xfinity included), it's on my must-see list.
