I really want to see Dale Jr get a damn Charter and have MTJ race for him, even if for one season. Then he can retire

Today's scan through the free agent list.

Denny Hamlin gets a deal done to stay at JGR. Toyota isn't gonna let 23XI go and leave themselves with JGR and Legacy Motor Club, so that deal's gonna be done, and Hamlin has said multiple times that he wants to stay at JGR.

I won't be surprised if Truex retires. He doesn't seem like the kinda guy who would want a year-long farewell tour and all the attention that comes with it. If he does retire, John Hunter Nemechek is the only viable replacement.

I can see Truex hang it up after this season.

And yes, he's the kinda guy that wants to keep it to himself. He doesn't need to announce anything and make it a big headache from the media.

That sounds like a good idea.

I don't mind seeing Dale Jr. getting back in a race car and to see MTJ getting a chance to race in the ride.

I wish Junior would get into the Cup series, but he keeps saying that it doesn’t make any financial sense for him under this charter system.

Was awesome that Hocevar was able to stay ahead of Zain Smith. I thought for sure that he was doomed on that last restart with Smith and Heim right there. Zains truck was great on the long run. So maybe the restart helped Hocevar compared to if the last caution never happened. His mom and others running up to Carson to celebrate was cool to see.

Looked like he got on the brakes too hard trying to get into the pits and lost it. Sucks for him on a track where he should in theory have a decent day.
